X Update!

Sadly, X didn't pass the inspection. I if you would like to see pictures of X and other good pictures of Magic Mountain, click here.
BLAST!!!!!! I am going there this Friday. Knowing my luck De Ja Vu will probably valley on thursday night!!!!

-----------------
God is Good!

If the trains were still in 389 pieces like they were last week, I wouldn't have passed it either! Nice pics......why do you sound proud of getting banned from Universal? LOL.

Is it ever going to open. Are they going to modify something about the ride?

Although none iof this is verified, I wonder why they would schedule an inspection if the ride wasn't ready? More so, I wonder if they thought it would pass since they told the LA times about the inspection a week or 2 ago.

Bummer for all of you goign there soon. I've yet to ride it myself :(

So the ride did not officially pass an inspection that never was officially confirmed to happen in the first place? Can't we just hold the silly speculation and wait for confirmation from the park? It will open when it opens.
Nothing is official (why would SFMM announce it failed?), but if the train is indeed in pieces it probably didn't pass!

Just pray that X wont become something like the Bat. I know its far fetched and will probably never happen, but just be happy because we all know the ride will open again, just a matter of when.

Cedar Point vs. SFMM-like 15 isnt enough?

I'm sure there were plenty of people saying the same thing about the Bat in the early 80's.

-----------------
"Look, we all go way back, and uh, I owe you from the thing with the guy in the place and I'll never forget it." "That was our pleasure." "I'd never been to Belize."

I don't get why this site is reporting that the ride did not pass the inspection. For all we know, the trains could have been taken apart for the inspection. I'll wait for official word from the park.

I think xbombman has a point. After all, I remember reading that if it passed, it would still be at least a week before the ride reopened. Perhaps that is the week that the trains get put back together.

We all need to wait for the official word.

Nothing... NOTHING... can prepare you for... the Fourth Dimension!

"I'm sure there were plenty of people saying the same thing about the Bat in the early 80's"

You could have said the same thing about Superman:The Escape as well, and it DID re-open.

The Bat: different coaster, different time, different set of circumstances. Until the park says there is nothing more they can do for X, I wish people would lay off this Bat stuff.

-----------------
"Escuse me, can you tell me where the heck the Mystery Lodge is"?

It has not been confirmed that X did not pass the inspection. People have just made that geuss because there was no activity over at X during the day. For all we know, it was a simple structure inspection and was done before the park opened for the day!

Those trains are significantly more together than what they were two weeks ago.
The trains would be awefully hard to inspect if they were together:) It may have passed and they are now putting it back together again.

When did this turn into Speculationbuzz? Hey that's catchy... :)

Hey guys, just got some good news. I emailed Arrow about some stuff pertaining to X and just got an email back from them stating that Arrow and Six Flags are working hard together to get a July 27th re-opening. Now you must remember that trying to get a 27th opening it's not confirmed that it's going to happen yet.

Arg, foiled again. If you are right, then that means I'll miss it by a day. Same thing happened when I went in January

Poor Arrow, I hope thay get out of the hole soon. Arrow hire the best and most innovative coaster designers in the world, and I just want to see that company succeed.

After riding the Matterhorn, its just amazing of how far they have come, and thats still a great ride!

The six flags website says that X is open, but i dont understand why when i clicked on X-flight under thrill rides I ended up with X.

screwy parks, screwy website
