X tops out at Magic Mountain amidst the arrival of train parts

Posted | Contributed by Karl DeAngelo

Construction continues at a furious pace at the mountain. The lift hill for X is now complete and work on the station continues to progress. Land clearing is also continuing for the rumored 4th attraction. Pictures are on Twisted Rails, including what appears to be part of an X train.

Over a few week the Deja Vu will open for public. The Deja Vu of SFOG is almost ready the open.
IOArules - I think the rest of the coaster should go up fairly fast. I'm expecting the supports for the dip and possibly even the track for the dip to be in place by the end of the week. Considering that the larger supports take time to construct, the smaller ones should go up quicker (hopefully).

What exactly is a raven turn?
X is just over 200 ft.
i think its just a fancy name for an immelman....but what site is that video of x on? coasterpalooza or something? i tried to do coasterpalooza.com but it didnt work, so someone please tell me the site! im dying to see the video!
well, if coasterpalooza was a convention, then does anyone know wher i could get that vid for download?
A raven turn is similar to an immelman except that the track doesn't turn over at the top, so the track will end up inverted. The video is unfortunately unavailable. I asked the representative for a copy but he said he couldn't release it, but that it may be available in the future.
There's a video of X on www.sixflags.com
I don't think it will open this season!! Think how much they have got to do, I mean it's took a month to do the station to the top of the lift! I don't mean to be pesamistic, but I just can't see it opening soon! If it does, GREAT!!:)
The video which was shown at Coasterpalooza was different than the one at sixflags.com. It was direct from Arrow Dynamics and completely accurate to what the ride will be.

I thought a raven turn was like a half-twist on RCT.

Déjà Vu: Thrill seekers plummet from 196-feet, fly head-over-heels at 65 mph over the outside of a vertical loop and a giant 110-foot high boomerang turn with nothing but the sky above their dangling feet. http://www.geocities.com/totallysfmm
"X" is going to be the illest ride there, deja vu comes in second. there both going to be great.
Hopefully X will start moving faster now that lift is done. When are you guessing it will be open? I say late July Early August? Twistedrails.com RULES!!!

Anyone think the 4th Attraction will be a S&S Ejector Seat/Sling Shot type ride? Makes sense as it's name is rumored to be 'Thrill Shot.'
I heard that dejavu will start to test as early as Next week sometime. and I also heard that X will probably be compleated and ready for testing (as long as there are no delays) As soon as a month!! But not comfirmed just heard from worker at Magic Mountain.
X is suposed to open sometime in July.
I was just up there last SAturday with some friends..

IT LOOKS A LOT BETTER IN PERSON
July 4th, to be exact.
