X Support Hitting...

On GTTP I've read threads about people hitting a certain support on MForce. From the picture linked above, it looks like the person on the far left can hit one of the supports. From a few other pictures, it does look like the X vehicle comes close to the supports. Do any of the X riders so far know if you can hit any of the supports?

EDIT: I am not responsible for any injuries aboard X for attempting this...

I doubt it, although I have not seen X in person.  I do think that its just the angle of that picture that makes the support look that close.
-----------------
It is just the angle. The supports on the left have the same amount of space between the train as the supports on the right. As for the rest of the ride, my experience is too much of a blur now to comment on it.

What in the world is in that bag?Watch u got in that bag!?!?!?!?!?!?!

I have heard of people being able to reach out and touch a support on the top hat of Mr. Freeze, but I've never tried it or seen anyone try it.
I know that on S:RoS if you sit on the left side you can hit a support if you held your arm more then 45* out. It's located on the little bunny hill in between the helixes. It scared the crap out of me the first time I noticed it since I have never sat on the right side cause my friend doesn't want to be on the river side.

I am sure if you tried hard enough you could....

*cough Viper & SRoS @ SFDL... cough*

Under "normal" circumstances, you most likely wouldn't, but if you actually tried to hit it (for some stupid reason) I am sure you could w/o much effort.

What about Iron Wolf when you first enter the brake run?  Stick your hand out to the side and you smack it against that door thing they have so no one decides to run off the end of the catwalk, lol.  But, you can do it!

Or, get on almost any wooden coaster and stick your arm out to the side.  Don't really do it, you'll see what I mean though, it isn't that far away.

Why would you even want to hit a support in the first place? It doesn't even sound remotely fun.

Got that right Glitch, I hit my hand on Millennium Force in 2000, and I didnt even know it was possible. My hand was numb for about an hour.

Yeah, I've heard stories about hitting a support on MF on the first over-banked turn... However I also heard they did something to that support so you can't hit it.

When going up the lift on the Giant Dipper at SCBB you can touch the rail. Don't do it though, it's peeling so you get splinters. :(

Skater for life!
You can do it on the Comet at Hersheypark too. They have plywood put up on the last turn before the station because the supports for the other turn are that close.
Hmmmmm..... Lets stick our arm out of a train traveling in excess of 50mph and try to touch a stationary object as we pass by.

Disadvantages: Pain, Loss of limbs, extremities, paralisis, possible death. And closure of the ride.

Advantages: Your friend might think you are cool, but they wont help pay your medical bills.

Dont be so stupid as to actually try this!

My other car is a Giovanola!

In addition...you can actually put your hands on the track of Hoosier Hurricane while waiting in the queue line (that straight away before it hits the lift), but I'm sure no one has (we might have heard something by now, heh). It's just common sense...

I agree with LoadedG all the way.

MiLLeNNiUMRiDeR, I know there's at least one person around here you can ask about not being able to hit that support.  It's still very possible.

At the turn of the Millennium, there were signs.
The worst one I can think of... Gemini, CP.  Coming off the second turnaround, after the smaller hill, those beams are rather low... :)
