X Report?

Hey,

I'm going to Magic Mountain for spring break, and I haven't checked the forums in a while... does anyone know if X is running smoothly? How many trains are on the track? and how long are the lines, usually?

Thanks in advance!

When we were there 2 weeks ago, X was running 2 trains and lines ranged from 45 min to 2 hours (don't worry, everything else in the park had a much shorter wait). And it was entirely worth a 2 hour wait!

Just a warning: I don't know when SFMM opens for daily operation, but as of now, they are just open Saturdays and Sundays.

I put the "D" in DDR.

SFMM opens daily the first week of April, and is open daily the entire month. www.sixflags.com.

I'll be there on April 17th, if anyone wants to meet. :)

FYI, if your Spring Break happens to be at the same time as most LA school's break, be prepared for long lines, especially for X!

Moosh- I remember someone saying the last week of March for LA's spring break. Mine is very late so I am hoping that lines won't be a big problem. My spring break is the 19-25th, and because of snow we have to go to school THursday and Friday but I'll be at SFMM:)

Advise:

-Avoid Saturdays at all costs.

-Get there very early (about (9:00) and stand in line at the entrance until park opening (10:00).

-Run to X first thing in the morning.

-Start at the back of the park after X and work your way forward to avoid lines.

X is running very well. It's almost certain that it will be open the day of your visit. Expect a few breakdowns during the day, though. I went this weekend on Sunday, and waited 2 and a half hours for X in the middle of the day, but the line ranges from a walk on to a half hour during the first half hour of the day. Have fun!

Let's just say X is running better than XCelerator!

I'll be there April 1-4 if anyone would like to meet up! Was gonna go to KBf on 4/1 but without XLR8R I'll probably skip it and go right to SFMM.

I personally wouldn't skip Knott's beause of Xcel being down...Monte and Jags and Ghostie is enough to make me go...esp. now that they seem to have resolved some of their *issues* with guests...;)

Certainly, I'll *always* miss Tumbler, but the mine ride, the flume, and a top-tier woodie , there's LOTS to offer. And even though one ride on PP is all you'll be able to get, it's worth it to wait for that on ride...also, be sure to ride the stagecoach if you never have before...perhaps I was just *underwhelmed* by Xcel, but that could just be me...I like H:XLC better...
