X Question

I want to know how X has been running recently. I am going to SoCal in April and I am hoping it will stay open. Also I wanted to know what the crowds are generaly in April. I am going on Spring Break but our schools are weird and we are off the week of the 18 so I hope it won't be a problem with Spring Break corwds. Thanks.

From what I have heard, X has been running pretty well. Although its down to one train operation for the time being (I would expect it to be up to 2 by April), it is decently smooth and doesnt have too many breakdowns. Well, by not too many, I mean as few as a malfunctioning arrow prototype can have.

The times I've gone to the hill, X opens a little late, except for once that it opened on time with the rest of the park. I haven't seen any malfunctions and the morning crew is usually pretty efficient.

Is it a dream or a memory? It's both, it's X

WHo knows what will happen by then! In mid oct. X ran 2 trains, and had one breakdown that I know of cause I was in line, but i did get my ride, even though it took about 3 hours to get on, the crew was doing all they could though and the queue is nice. I think you also do not need sit up front, the visuals are the same. Your best bet is to go to Deja Vu first, up that big ole' hill the S:TE then down ( bag Ninja for now it's probibly going to be close anyway but you'll now if it opens yet by seeing it.) Then down and start at RR and go clockwise.

Damn, so they're only running one train consistently now? What happened to the talk of trying to get three trains going by spring, have they given up on that?

Also, how has the ride quality been lately? I know a few people had said that it is extremely rough on the outer seats. All you lucky peeps who have ridden it recently, what has been your experience?

I just went to SFMM last Saturday, X opened on time, was running two trains, and also ran from open to close.

I think they are fianlly working all the kinks out of this ride.

apparently there is a slight problem with some of the brakes at the end of the circuit and so they would rather run 1 train than take the risk of a collision. just a guess, but maybe the brakes cant stop the newer trains as easily as they are heavier?

You're right in one sense. The rain from last Friday was messing up the block brakes and the train would just slide through all of the way into the station. The LIM brakes right after the twisting backflip would slow it down to about 15 mph and it would still be going 15 mph when it made it to the station. If there was a train in the unload position, there would have been a collision.

I rode X again about 3 weeks ago (first ride since April) and I did notice it being about 10% rougher than before. Not horrible, but noticeably bouncier. I rode front seat, outside.

I think the 1 train operation recently was due to rain.

And the third train was put on about a month ago and it vallied, so it isn't ready yet. Hopefully they can hold out with the two they have until #3 gets tuned properly.
