"X" Opening Day
Well since we now know that "X" will open later than Deja Vu, when will it open? Will it be late spring or will it be Summer or will we have to wait until the fall?

A little birdy whispered the date of June 8th, 2001. That's the date they're shooting for. Deja Vu will open in March.

Actually, it will, but based on the things I've seen, the construction is NOT moving. I'm gunning for August at this point.
Deja Vu will be luckier, and probably will open in mid-May.

I want nothing more than for X to open in a hurry. But, I'm not too optimistic. Not because of construction, but because of the testing it might require. This is no tried and true clone, but something that's brand new and unlike anything else. I hope they don't hit any major testing snags, but it very well may be possible with all the new things X involves.

Please dont open the 8th! I'll be up at SFMW tryin out V2:( Well I guess since we got snow at SFMM tonight, hopefully that'll delay em a week or so. Yes you guys heard right, we got SNOW at SFMM!

June 8th?! That leaves less than two months...to construct a 200+ft coaster...3,600+ft of track...prototype design...ARROW....did I mention ARROW? ;)
While I was kidding with that (or was I?) I am willing to bet my life that X at Six Flags Magic Mountain will not open by June 8, 2001. Oh, and I know Deja Vu didn't open in March (heh, you meant May, I get it ;)).
Ok, I'm done being sarcastic for the night. Or am I?

Right, things are not looking good for X this year in terms of getting many rides. July and August are super busy months with everyone out of school. The last full week ends Labor Day September 3rd, then it's back to weekends thru October. This is a real bummer for people who want to fly out there and ride. No matter when you go, you're looking at long lines.
If they get X running this year, they should stay open during the week in September.

Although I tend to disagree with Legendary on many topics, I am with him on the June 8th opening date being a pipe dream. I am sure that SFMM officials have no real idea of when X will open. I would imagine that the week of the 4th of July might be a target that they would shoot for, but even that seems unlikely.
BTW, Legendary, Sorry I missed you on the 27th at Knott's. I was rear ended on the freeway ON THE WAY THERE, by a dude with no auto insurance!! My truck was totaled. :(
