X IS TESTING

A few friends told me today that X WAS TESTING! This is great news and Jeff Putz, you are offically a relible source! Looks like they should open in a couple weeks, I dought much will change though as far as loading time and breakdowns go :(

S:UF World's only flying coaster! Don't you love SF ?

WhewHew!!!!

Looks like I'll have my inaugural rides on X, Deja Vu, Ghostrider and Xcelerator on the same weekend afterall. What a summer to be in SoCal!!!

Wow, I wonder what they did to fix all the problems. It's only been what 1 1/2 weeks. I hope your friends aren't pulling your finger.

im still afraid of the seats breaking off the side on a high g pullout...that fear will NEVER leave my mind, and this whole ordeal about X getting stress fractures ON THE TRAINS...well...that will officially be the coaster im TERRIFIED to ride...not because its scary..because i think im gonna die!!!

btw, does anybody know the weight limit for the ride? im a "big guy" and i guess if somebody knew a known weight limit it would put some paranoia to rest...

I haven't been on Coasterbuzz for a long time and what is going on with X. My friend told me that his brother was able to ride X. So is X having problems? What problems are they?

Well, my plans are still on for July 25+, so they better have it up and running for me!!! That and Xcelerator! Do you hear me KBF and SFMM? ;)

My band is opening for King's X!

I was at the park today, and X was indeed testing. It'll probably open in the next few weeks, but I assume that it will only have one train op.

I am also not small 6"0 240 and I have no problem with X, infact it is one of the more comfortable seatbelt rides I have been on. I also don't believe there is a weight limit, it is one of those if you fit you ride things.

Don't be afraid of the seats breaking off in the high-G pullout, or the Raven turn. The seats are designed to bend and stuff in the high Gs and they won't break or anything. As for this stuff about being a heavy person, no biggie. X can support your weight. They wouldn't design something that would break. Man, just think. As for stress fractures, that's just a rumor and was never proven. All these things are rumors. Since X is testing now, I guess we can rule out the rumor of X being down the entire summer, eh? Man, I'm just sick of all these rumors about X's condition with NO evidence to back them up.

Actually the whole story about the stress fractures, whether it's true or not, has my even more hyped to get over to So. Cal to ride that thing :-)

It's been a long time since I've actually been scared riding a coaster and I think the unique style of the 4D combined with the nagging fear in the back of your head wondering whether the arm is going to fracture off would make for one intense ride :-)

I have a intense fear of heights, you think I'll be fine? I've ridden S:TE and MF, but this one looks like a doosey. Oh well, I have till September to prepare.

~Santa Cruz Trip Report just added with lots of pix!

Please let it be open bythe second week in July
I hope X is open on July 8th. The wife and I are taking a quick side-trip from Vegas to SFMM that day. That could be our only chance to ride it for a long time to come.

MonkeyMaster, I'm 6'4" and 280lb. I have no problem getting onto X. (and Deja Vu for that matter) I don't need the B&M Big Boy seat, but the regular seats are a pretty tight fit.

thats the best re-assurance ive had so far, now for the most part im totally cool with X...THANKS SOGGY!!!

Looks like everyone needs it open by July! I know a lot of my friends are hitting SFMM at that time, so I can only hope for the best. It's obviously operating, and from the looks of it, I'd say it's being passed by NoGoSuMo in downtime!

I must rain on the parade some and say that I REALLY hope they keep it closed until they can run two trains.

One train is unbearable on this ride, without the other train it might as well still be closed.
