X-Flight construction presses on toward opening day

Posted | Contributed by ShiveringTim

Another major portion of X-Flight was erected this past week. The construction crews have finished the horseshoe turn, or the first high turn after the initial descent. The last high turn over the lift and the low sections remain. I expect the lift turn to be completed by next weekend. Also worth noting is that Geauga Lake Rd. has been officially rerouted around the construction site, leaving the old road ready to be converted to queue and midway.

Last I heard, the ride's track is suppose to finished next week!

I have to agree. Definitely before April giving them a full month for electrical and testing.

Well, I cant seem to find the article that I read which said it was having flying corks. But if you go to refreshinglook.com and go to the announcment 2001 of X-Flight, It says in there there will be corkscrews(it didnt say there are flying corks but there is no mention of an inline twist at all) I am actually puzzled where all these reports of X-Flight having a inline twist came from suddenly anyway
Personally, I wont mind what X-Flight will have, and I will be happy with whatever they get(Corks or Inline) X-Flight is still gonna be a great coaster and you can be sure I will definatly get quite a few rides when I ride it in June
