X-Flight and Batwing

Has anyone here ever seen or heard of X-Flight/Batwing using the double stations? I've been on both, and I have seen the station's layout. They could seriously improve the wait time if they used this, I was just wondering if it was because of mechanisms or what.

Yes but last year they were having alot of problems with both coasters so they only used 1 station. This year I think we will see both stations being used most of the time.
X-Flight uses both stations.

X-Flight used both stations less than half the time. When I went, part of the day they used it, and then for some reason... just shut one of them down, making the lines even longer!!

The next time, they used both stations to full capacity, but with only 2 trains running... it really didn't cut down on the line time.

Yeah when I was there the wait was about 45 minutes for X-Flight with one station and 2 trains running. Plus on top of that only 3-quarters of the seats worked right. That coaster has more mechanical problems, but It was still a great ride.
When I rode X-Flight they used both stations.

I went to SFWoA every week, and plan to this year ;)

XF 1/2 through the year used both stations almost 90% of the time. They improved olot at XF.

I went to SFWOA in august last year, and x flight was running the whole time and using both stations. I loved that place all of the coasters were working that day, and i actually liked it better than cedar point coaster wise (gasp!)
Oh yeah, I'm going out there again this year. I was wondering if the Mind Eraser (Vekoma Boomerang) has been open. The day I was there it was not running. I was wondering if this ride has been closed, or if it was just a one-time deal.
X-flight ran both stations on almost a daily basis last season. Just wait that rides capacity will improve greatly for next season.
I've experienced Batwing running both stations only once out of maybe 20-30 times I was at SFA last summer. Unfortunately, besides the mechanical problems, it was a lack of labor that caused single-side operation. The ride needs 10 people to run both sides-2 operators and 4 checkers per side. Not ironically, the day I experienced both sides running, Superman Ride of Steel was down.

The word "definitely" is definitely the most misspelled word on the buzz.

Maybe when you were there. I went 4 times last season in June and July. I never saw 2 stations or 2 trains :( :(

While I know that it did operate both sides for a day or two, I never saw Batwing operate both sides; and as far as I know the third train has never been off the storage track.

I go on weekdays (call me a loner;)), and I rode X-Flight with both stations running, got a few spins even with all their other great coasters. At SFA, running one train on a moderately busy day, we waited about 1 1/2 hours, including down-time. Since the line grew back as soon as the coaster was up and running, we only took the one ride...not complaining, at least those people weren't in the S:RoS line...:) In addition, we got to meet The Jet Coaster....HI!

I went 5 times, and 2 of the times it was closed ,both early in the year. Pretty much they run it when the have enough people. I don't care much for it so it does not bother me.

Don't, Don't Don't believe, Don't believe the hype.

I've been to SFA on a day when S:ROS was down all day and Batwing was still on single train/station operation.
I hope they have work out some of the kinks in X~Flight, and that it will have a smooth 3 train operation . The Ride is Awesome. I also hope the grass will be grown under the coaster.

You really need to get some more BRAN in your diet

Of all the times I've been to SFWoA I never saw both stations running and the downtime was crazy long. I don't know if this is 100% true or not but the first time I rode it early in the season I asked one of the ride ops what was wrong during the down time. He said that they had received new safety blueprints for the ride and had to shut the ride down in order to put them into effect. Now like I said I don't know how true this is..this is just what the ride op told me.

I was at SFWOA over the Labor Day holiday weekend last year and they were running both stations. As for the loading procedures on the ride, they really rot. Very time consuming. I doubt that this is SF's fault and it is more Vekoma's fault for designing such a convoluted restraint system. I don't think they ran 3 trains though and I doubt that they will unless they get the recline on the life working.

Well, I've seen both incarnations of Bat-Flight have both stations open. I'm also probably one of a *very select* few people that have been on all four platforms. I didnt get to board on the far side of X-Flight because of an impending storm, but I rode out of the three other sides.

As far as I know, neither one operated with three trains to the public.

Oh, and I *too* saw Batwing run only 1 train on a day when S:ROS was closed....

Besides, if we were really shutting down people we disagreed with, would Jeremy (2Hostyl) still be around? :) I think not. - Jeff 1/24/02
