X continues to test at Magic Mountain

X is looking good and still testing. I was able to capture some video with more light this time and sound. I was also able to get some photos this time around. Hopefully an opening date will be announced soon.

I cant wait to ride x when it opens those seats are going to be spining alot well thats what i heard.
yeah people just think its another boomerang but they dont reallize how xtreme these 2 new rides are but im sure when x opens the lines are going to be tremendous.
I cannot wait to go to SFMM next spring. X is so very cool. Arrow seems to have come up with a real winner. Glad to hear DV is cool as well. Great work Karl. Thanks!

That ride looks incredible. I am sure alot of other parks will be placing orders for these. I think ARROW is back in a big way. ;) The bad part is that I won't be making it out MM too soon, so I hope Gr8 Adv or another park around me gets one.
To answer Adam's query, Deja Vu is just that - ANOTHER boomerang! It' just varied a little with the combination of two older elements (KBF's boomerang, and SFMM's suspended, like that of the Batman ride). It's not all that special. The only thing that is cool about it is the 90 degree drop and that's about it. X better open soon!!
SFMM Lover: Deja Vu provides a completely different ride experience than a standard Boomerang and Batman: The Ride (which is referred to as an inverted coaster, not suspended).

Compare a colored TV with a black and white TV.  When colored TV first came out, was it nothing special because it was "just varied a little" from a black and white TV?

Wow!! This ride is incredible. This video was WAY better then the other one. The close of shots of the trains running on the track is awesome.

Note - T1 modems at my school came in handy with a 2 minute and 38 second video ;)

X guy, there is basically no difference between suspended and inverted. Take for example Batman (inverted) and Ninja (suspended), the only difference there is that Ninja has a floor to it, and Batman does not. I rode Deja Vu the day after it officially opened, and as it was, it really had no thrill factor, in exception for the lifts. Boomerang at KBF is better for the thrill, only because it is a slow moving ride (hence why it can sometimes become stuck on the boomerang element itself). Again, it is not THAT good of a ride. The only exceptions to good rides at SFMM are the newest, of course being TRR, Goliath, and X (which better open soon!)
X was testing last night (Friday) and I see that is barely makes it over that 1st raven turn.  Oh, and Deja Vu looked to be about 1 hour wait.  I didn't see Goliath.

X tested several times this afternoon.  The rotations look like they have smoothened out a bit, and the loud noise in the raven turns was not as noticeable.

Check out ACN for several photos.

SFMM Lover: You are a "SFMM Lover" but only think three of their coasters are "good rides"? And saying Batman: The Ride is basically the same as Ninja without a floor is ridiculous.

Our wedding date is Sep. 29th. We fly to Vegas on the 30th and Magic Mountain comes on Friday October 5th. We hope it is open by then. My one and only visit to Magic Mountain was about 3 months ago and at that time vertical construction had just began. The station platform, turnaround and first couple of pieces of lift hill were in and about 2 or 3 of the lift hill supports were up and I can't wait to see the finished coaster up close and hopefully ride it. Angela has conquered most of her fear, and although still a little aprehensive, is excited about riding X and Deja Vu. Thanks for the great video Karl. One thing we noticed was a loud squeal when it hit the brake run. Was this the coaster, or a little girl screaming?

Just a couple of G-force junkies!
Karl: Great Video! You did a wonderfull job showing the coaster in motion. I also like how you can see the seats rotate very clearly at the different points of the ride.

Point of note: I would suggest that one does not EAT while watiching this video. I was having breakfast when I watched it, and I about tossed my cookies when I saw the train top the first hill!
