X, Xtreme loading time

Associated parks:
None

Well to start off, X was just the most incredible ride I have been on, After X, I was complaining about how rough Riddler's Revenge and B:TR were afterwards. The only part that felt a little "bumpy" was the turnaround into the lift hill, which wasn't anything horrible, just a little back and forth rocking. The drop was beautiful, the rest of the ride I can't say (since it was so disorienting that I didn't even know what was happening ;)). I met a few Buzzers, as I referred to CB and they reacted to it.
Now for the bad part. Six Flags does not seem to value guest experience!! They opened 20 minutes late, then afterwards, there was a 45 minute delay to begin the line (though I had giving one finger salutes to those ride-ops that seemed to value themselves over their guests). While we were in line, people began to line jump, which was just incredibly annoying to those of us who waited so long. The loading times were a little distasteful. I talked to a ride-op afterwards to find out why and her reply was that they never had the chance to operate this coaster, so that made me less frustrated, as it is not their fault for the slow loading time.
The trains were like nothing I have seen, though they were without the triangle covering, they were LARGE and just a spectacular sight. The mechanics had to jimmy the restraints open for a few guests, which i thought was a bit embarassing, since they did test this ride out for quite some time. Well by the time I left (around 3 to go eat at Wendy's) the second train had it's first guests, which may help the pph a bit. Well if anyone was there, I was the guy in a black shirt and jeans, spiky hair and with 3 of my people. I had a good time waiting in line, which I guess made up for the waiting (1 hour for front, with only 14 guests in front of me!)

More Six Flags bashing.  You know what I say? GET OVER IT.  Do you think six flags opened 20mins late and then had a 45 min delay just to piss you and everyone else off?  Ummm no.  If a ride doesn't open on time it is because there are things that NEED to get taken care of.  You should be happy they value safety over opening a ride on time.  There are things that happen that you can't plan for, you need to realize that.  Sounds real mature about the "one finger salutes" too.  If that were my ride you wouldn't have been riding.

It seems that a lot of people have forgotten that rides are heavy machinery, and are very complex. We've come a long way from the simple wood coaster, and maybe that's not for the best.

Compared to the day we waited for the public opening of Batwing, you have absolutely nothing to complain about. And, most of the day we waited in a heavy downpour. Stop complaining, you got to ride it.

Until you get a parking space with your own name on it, you're still part of the GP.

Well that's true, and I was acting immature I'll admit, It was one of those days. I was a bit let down by the inXperience (had to do that) of the ride ops though, I would have thought they would have had some training for this ride as far as what protocal for unloading/loading guests, when it was safe to go and aid guests, etc. But that was nothing really.

Whenever you have a first of a kind, you wind up having to change procedures almost on a daily basis. It's a learning eXperience for all involved. Be patient. By the summer the bugs will be worked out of the operating procedures and things will run a lot smoother.
