I thought that the park was bought by the zoo and was going to keep it?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Six Flags is auctioning off the park and waterpark equipment that they own.

The Zoo has always owned the land, and they also own all buildings and fixed rides.

The Zoo plans to remodel the park and integrate it into the zoo, they have said before that they WILL be keeping the Sea Dragon.

OK then. Sea Dragon SBNO in 2007 but back in operation in 2008 most likely. One more ACE classic that will live on.

Y'know, I wonder if one of the bidders on the equipment will be the Columbus Zoo, buying at auction equipment they couldn't settle on a price for during the negotiations with Six Flags...

It's just a thought. I still wonder what they're selling...

Dave, I've been wondering the same thing. My guess would be most of the stuff being auctioned are things the zoo would have no use for - service equipment and vehicles (why have 2 sets?), concession equipment, things of that nature. I'm sure the zoo already has their own way of doing things and would rather keep the systems in the zoo and the lake the same. What are the concession brands at the zoo? Congo River Market? Elephant Grill? Does anyone else think we will see these at the lake, especially if the Safari theme idea holds true? Anyhoo, is anyone else near CBus going to the auction? How early does Norton usually post the brochures? Wow! That's a lot of questions. -Ross
