Writing to coaster companies

I was wondering, how many of you have written to coaster companies. I have written and recieved from B&M. They sent me a brochure with information. Now I have sent letters to Intamin, Vekoma, Premier Rides, Morgan, S&S, and Arrow. Any one else do this.

I did when i was much younger, and they all pretty much told me the same thing:

Get a degree in Mechanical Engineering, get some park experience, and hopefully experince that will be uniqe and interesting to make you more appealing then the other average Joe mechanical engineer. And then they explained how incredibly competetive coaster design is i.e. you have a snowball's chance in hell of becoming a coaster desginer.

I found most of my adresses in the ACE membership directory.

I have written to CCI, S&S, Intamin, and Vekoma. I only recieved a reply from Vekoma.

Yeah, i bet they are swamped with letters now. I must have written to them back in 97 or so, back when they still replied.

I sent one to CCI last year, and never got a reply...and they only had Cornball Express and Cheetah to work on...:(

I did that over the summer and recieved letters from B&M, Custom Coasters,Vekoma,Morgan,and Intamin who sent it UPS next day air!! Didn't get one from and sent one to Arrow,S&S,Setpoint.

I sent one to Premier and one to CCI. I never heard from CCI but Premier sent me a nice information packet with a picture of each of their rides with info on the back.
