Wrestling Show coming to Six Flags?

Check this out: http://www.prowrestlingtorch.com/cgi-bin/correspondence.cgi?correspondence/2002/20020318_17438

According to that link Ohio Valley Wrestling(WWF's Training program) will be doing a Wrestling show at Six Flags. Does anybody know when this is and which Six Flags it is at?

Considering the non-family-oriented nature of wrestling, I really don't think this sort of thing would be a good move for any park.

Select friday nights during the summer @ Kentucky Kingdom ( www.sixflags.com/parks/kentuckykingdom/home.asp ). And considering the amount of RedNecks that park attracts (not a put-down, just an observation) I think this addition is going to be *very* popular

Besides, if we were really shutting down people we disagreed with, would Jeremy (2Hostyl) still be around? :) I think not. - Jeff 1/24/02

Tis true. The unfortunate thing is that people come back from SFKK and think that who is there is really representative of all of kentucky. Anyway, SFKK is the park closest to me, and I don't consider it my homepark (i usually just drive the extra 30 mins to PKI) and I probably won't be there this season, as I am moving to CT at the end of the semester.

Well, when we think of the "adult" wrestling, WWF comes to mind, but the independent promotions (like Ohio Valley Wrestling) usually adhere to stricter regulations concerning adult oriented material.

Ohio Valley Wrestling is a WWF developmental area I believe Jim Cornette is still in charge of the area and he is more old school wrestling than the current WWF adult style that means however that it could be more bloody

This is correct. Ohio Valley Wrestling is more of a development area for the WWF without storylines, etc. It should be cleaner but I guarantee I've seen worse things at theme parks than a simple wrestling show.
