We just got back from CP, and i can honestly say the only good thing that i can say about that coaster is that it is pretty to look at! We rode that coaster back when it openened and it was unbearably rough at that time. It is still very rough, and it is now VERY slow. There is a brake on the first hill, the second brake just about stops it.
One thing I also noticed on this trip is that the drops are very poorly designed for the size of the coaster. After the initial drop, there is one other sizeable drop and the others are mostly small drops built high up in the air. The end of the ride is like riding on a rough, hilly, train around curves, more than a rollercoaster. This is just not a good ride. Period.
All coasters need to look at the Intamin one piece method for future retracking if this method provides smoother riding.
As far at the Gemini suggestion, NO! The Gemini is one of the more fun coasters at CP, great hills, airtime, and the racing (which CP did a great job at on our visit) is what really makes the ride. But i feel this would be a better coaster with traditional (or Intamin) wood tracks than the Arrow mine train tracks.
