Worth going to SFOG or Paramount Carowinds?

I am going to Myrtle Beach next week and Carowinds is 4 hours away and SFOG is 6 hours away. Which park is worth going to more. I have a Six Flags pass and have been to SFOG in 2000. I haven't been there since then and I want to ride the new rides. Which park is worth going to more?

If you had never been to either park, then I would say Six Flags Over Georgia (yes, it hurts me very much to admit that). But, considering that you were at SFoG in 2000, I would say Carowinds. Yes, it is true that since then SFoG has opened two new coasters, but I think Top Gun is better than any of SFoG's steel coasters anyway. It's really what appeals to you most though. Both parks have an outstanding steel coaster that you've never been on, and Carowinds has a load of other things you've never been on.

I think StarCoasters hit it right on the nail.

Since you have a Six Flags Season Pass, SFOG would be the better value if your running tight on Cash.

The Parks are really close together on Quality and things of that sort. Carowinds has more Coasters, But Six Flags is Bigger as a whole.

Top Gun is superior to most of the Coasters at SFOG. But if your a Woodie fan you might want to check out the Georgia Cyclone or the steel classic, Mindbender.

Both Parks have nice Landscaping, and Employees are about on the same level at both Parks. (Which is not that impressive to say the Least)

That's a tough call. I've been to both parks once each--SFoG in 2000 and PC in 1994. On the one hand, I haven't ridden Deja Vu or S:UF, and I have several clones from PC at my homepark, PKD. On the other, I haven't ridden Top Gun, Flying Super Saturator, or RRR, and having ridden Batwing, I'm not all that jazzed about S:UF. However, even though it's been many more years since I've visited PC, another chance to marathon Mindbender, one of the world's best steel coasters, seems a bit more appealing to me.

Anyway, that's me. In your case, however, since you haven't been to Carowinds before, I say go ahead and experience a new park.

SFOG is 10 times better than Carowinds although Carowinds is a lot less crowded than SFOG, but SFOG is much better.

Ever notice how when something is "something times better than something" it's always in a round number? Whens' the last time something was 17 times better than something.

SFoG is my home park, and even though StarCoasters is right about the best steel coaster being at PC (TG), the best coaster overall is the Cyclone at SFoG. Go to Carowinds. There's enough there for ya.

SFOG 10 times better....I think not. If each park were side by side, I'd rate SFOG just slightly ahead of PC. Carowinds does have a lot to offer that SFOG doesn't....More coasters, less crowds, better staff, easier layout (Park), water park, just a bit cheaper(admission, food etc.) Just my thoughts.

Well, If you're going to MB, I don't see how you'll have the time to got, but I'd say Carowinds would be nice cause it's closer, but that's just me. I've never been to SFoG, though I want to, but I've been to Carowinds this year, and I can say that their last 4 coasters, and the Scooby Doo dark ride are reason enough to go. Top Gun is my favorite inverter, and the park is nicely landscaped with some good to decent rides. It all depends on how long you want to be on the road as opposed to how long you have to ride coasters, and sicne you're gonna Be at the beach, there is more of a chance to get down to PCar and back to enjoy your vacation. Which ever you do, have fun, and Ride Hurricane and Swamp Fox for me!

Go to SFOG..im goin next week on Vaca(where i will also hit all disney parks and US:IOA).....i GO TO sfog Almost every summer and i have only been to PC carowinds once in 01...i really enjoyed the park but i like the atomaphere and coasters better at SFOG.....i hope this helps.
