I am shocked all of you missed a great Virginia Coaster. The Loch Ness Monster was the tallest in the world in 1978, until Gemini opened a few weeks later. The GASM at SFGadventure was the tallest in the world in 1989, until Magnum opened a few weeks later. You know what, those were all Arrow coasters, they were great then, and after some track replacement before the trim breaks on GASM this March, they are all stiil kick butt. Nobody really cares, but my grandparents are still with me, and they remember riding the Gemini and Loch Ness Monster in the 80's. Liked them as much as Kennywoods and West Views rides. I guess after spending some time with Arrow engineers last week at my park, some memories got jogged. On the other note, the Tower of Terror is at Dreamland, and it is a single track version of the Superman thing at SFMM. Just a bit smaller, and there is an Intamin Giant Drop fitted to the tower that was added about 2 years ago.
