I happened upon this today. I'm surprised no one said anything yet. Let the speculating commence.

I think the old Zinger que house will be used for a new haunt attraction.

Prowler. Opens May,2 2009.

There is going to be a fair amount of new construction at WOF in the next year, including a new carousel house.............
^^^It's been going strong on the site that must not be named, no not Theme Park Revenue the OTHER site as well as over on Coaster Community for quite awhile now. In fact since the flags showed up in Possum Trot.

^^Not what I heard, but whatever

^Yes there is..... AND Just because they are getting you know what from you know where... they haven't said WHEN it would be added.

Since the link on the first post will fall to link rot here's a direct link to the right blog entry: http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/blog/index.cfm?entry=994d6d5e-ccce-40b8-aa07-7167a03417a6 .

I don't know what they are working on here, but all I can say is that it is offlly early to begin for ethier 2009 or the Halloween Haunt.

How early did all the Behemoth construction at Canadian’s Wonderland begin.

Why is that relevant? WoF already has their Behemoth (it's called Mamba).
Also, remember that construcrion started on Maverick right after '05 season with the removal of WWL. Mav didn't open until last year.

I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!

Things have been taking longer to build than usual.

What things?
I thought Cedar Fair started construction projects the summer before they open because it's cheaper.

My guess: they start early because of the unpredictability of the cold winters.
Or could it be the fact that GCI has 4 projects next year and they need to get a move on if they are in fact going to get all four complete?

CGA is confirmed, WOF is almost a given, then SF is supposed to buy 2 - one for SFoT where the Boomerang is and then another park.

Went out to the park, we now have a plot of cleared land.
I'm not sure if this will be Project #1 (2009) or Project #2 (Haunt) but I am sure it is one of the two sure does make the flags on Fury Isle pretty interesting

Evel Knievel to be the new Six Flags Cyclone? *** Edited 5/11/2008 4:04:38 PM UTC by Acoustic Viscosity***

Well...it's thrilling enough to satisfy the teens yet not so big as to scare away the families. While it would be nice to see some original layouts (imagine a terrain-hugging GCI along SFMM's mountain taking the place of the flats they just removed) I won't be mad to see this ride cloned.

And besides, Six Flags prefers coasters that can be moved to other parks...just in case. ;)

...or be easily torn down after years of neglect ;)
^Which one would have thought about SFStL's woodies until this past season.

I bet it really stinks ripping out all the old Zinger footers. *** Edited 5/12/2008 2:23:54 PM UTC by OrientExpressKid***

I'm pretty sure that most of the zinger footers are gone. I can only remember seeing a couple of large footer blocks (multiple footers blocked together) scattered through the woods.

Orient has one or two large blocks left as well.
