I just got back from a week in Ocean City, MD. I haven't been to many "beach" amusement parks, but Trimper's is something else. They have several rides that have been at the park for generations and this carousel is one of them. They even have the old pipe organ that use to play the music for the carousel on display.

Down the boardwalk from Trimper's is another small amusement park called O.C. Pier Rides and in mid-Ocean City, there is Jolly Roger (whom owns O.C. Pier Rides) that has two minature golf courses, a water park named Splash Mountain, a go cart track park called Speedworld and the main Jolly Roger theme park with a number of Children's rides and adult rides including a Wild Mouse. If you ever get a chance to drive down to Ocean City you should plan on visiting these parks.

You didn't mention the beautiful kiddie sized Whip that Trimpers has. It is beautifully maintained. I just have to stop and stare at it every time I'm at Trimpers.
I saw the whip, I just wasn't sure that's what I saw. Yeah... Trimper's is a beauitful mix of old and new. I hope to post a TR and pictures soon.
Ahh, yes, the Whip. That was always my favorite ride at Ocean City. I'm from Baltimore, so I go to Ocean City every summer pretty much (now that I'm 20, I go even more often), and Trimper's is definitely one of those must-visit spots every time! The carousel is awesome.
I love Trimper's Rides. I used to spend a week every summer down in OC, MD. Ahh, the memories. I love their Chance lineup. Anyone know if they still have their Inverter and Slingshot?*** This post was edited by RidesKid133 7/20/2005 9:23:28 PM ***
