Wooden Wild Mouse for Dollywood?

I know rumors are frowned upon on Coasterbuzz, and perhaps particularly from Screamscape, but I also know that a lot of us would love to see a wooden wild mouse built in the US. According to screamscape, Dollywood's planning a wooden wild mouse for 2007 with a 120 foot drop.
bahahaha!
What? First a flying turns at Knoebels and now a wooden wild mouse? Why all this sudden interest in outdated and extinct technology? ;)

Since when are mouse coasters about giant drops?

While I am certainly not "in the know" I think Lance got some bad info there. The last issue of First Drop stated that Dollywood would be getting the first U.S. installation of a Gerstlauer Eurofighter. Remember that survey Dollywood did a year or two ago that showed concept art for several attractions? One of them was very similar to the ride Screamscape describes, but the coaster was steel and looked exactly like a Eurofighter. Perhaps the structure will be made of wood or made to resemble wood to fit the mine theme, but I seriously doubt the coaster itself will be a wooden mouse.

Whew! Sounds like Lance is getting to know the back of Moosh's hand like the back of Moosh's hand.

It's true, Dolly told me herself and she knows more than the Lemon Chill guy surely?

Apparently, immediately after the 120-foot drop is a 90-degree hairpin turn.

Get it right.... it's a 90-degree *unbanked* turn! ;)

Well, of course it's unbanked! It's a wildmouse, after all!

Screamscape can be entertaining, and SOME of the things posted turn out to be true, but for the most park take these rumors with a VERY large block of salt.
