Wood Vs. Steel Essay

I am writing a comparason paper for expository writing class, and I am going to be comparing wood and steel coasters(How lucky am I!). I have a bunch of stuff to talk about but would appreciate some of your input. Basically the advantages of one or the other. (Other than steel is smoother than wood!) Thanks Alot!

I'd Rather Be Riding Rollercoasters

Wood gives a more varried ride, as the wood bends and flexes at different rates depending on alot of factors. Wood also gives a coaster a classic look and is much cheaper up front.

Wood advantages-More classic, rougher ride(some people LIKE that), look prettier, unique. There is a book called Roller Coaster with Mantis on the cover. It is probably about $12 but I'm sure you could go research it at Border's or something. It would be GREAT for this as I did something similar for science and it said every characteristic of wood and steel. It was in the "How a rollercoaster works" section I think.

Wooden coasters develop more of a personality. They do look cooler, much more clasic look. You get more of a head-chopper effect when going through the structure. There are others, but I just can't think of many right now.

Wooden coasters can be rougher than steel, wooden coasters were the first coasters ever built, talk about the famout builders of woodies(John Miller, Henry Traver, etc...), wooden coasters can have a steel superstructure and a wooden track (Villian at SFWOA a.k.a. SFO) or woodies could have a wooden superstructure and steel rails (Gemini at CP).
