Woman Dies at Six Flags America

methinks we're missing a ;) on that comment, crashmando, as satire is lost on some.

"I've been born again my whole life." -SAVED
I love satire. I even thought about whether or not his post was sarcasm or not before posting. Seeing as nobody was claiming that they should be screening the riders in this thread, it didn't appear to be a sarcastic comment to anyone in particular. Therefore I concluded that it was just a really stupid post.

If his post was meant to be satire, then I appologize.

Yeah is Good!
I agree Incidentialist, there are signs posted outside each water attraction that specifically give a weight limit on the water rides and tell you all the ailments you shouldn't have if your going to ride. It's just nobody wants to waste time to read them.

A day at the park is what you make it!

Oh they read them allright, and then go ahead and get on anyway. From personal observations being in the business for thirty years there is a substantial percentage of people with these conditons that honestly feel that those signs don't apply to them.
No Satire I was 100% serious!! HaHa just kidding.

Thanks,
DMC

"If your liver has more fat than Mr. Six's, then you're not allowed to ride."

"If your heartbeats are more than this far apart, you're not allowed to ride."

Please note, yes this is sarcasm.

I fail to believe that this dude was and still is joking. It just seems like a cover for a really silly, un-thought of post. But it's kinda hard to tell someone that they are too fat to go on a water slide. You can just see the embarrasment in the employees eyes when they tell the biggins at theme parks they can't ride the rollercoasters. At least at a water park they feel as if they wouldn't run into that issue. It's just unfortunate that this death occured. *** Edited 8/1/2005 4:20:23 AM UTC by Magicmike***

Six Flags is a Diamond in the rough!
It's also hard to send someone back down a water slide since there is only one way up. That is back through the line of people, with rafts, waiting to ride.

Also, we're assuming this person was over the weight restriction. We don't know that. I'm obese by medical standards but under the weight restrictions at the park to ride the water rides.

A day at the park is what you make it!

Ok let me clear this up! I WAS JOKING!!

Thanks,
DMC
