Does anybody else here dislike winter for one reason, you can't ride roller coasters???? I mean if you live in the windy city like me, were already gettin freekin snow. I think winter sucks for most part, in my opinion. Just had to get that out.
Jeff waits for Pete to appear and talk about skiing, drinking and snow bunnies in the lodge by the fire.

Well, it doesn't matter if you live in California or Florida or certain other places. It does blow when you live in MI like me! Luckily, I get to go Florida.

Hamburgers are only Hamburgers when people choose to call them Hamburgers.
Me too. I hate winter. At least last winter we got to see construction updates from the roller coaster capital of the world. This off season is really getting to me.

It's so stupid that they close parks so early. They should keep parks running (not past the Mason-Dixon line though) at least unitil December. Real coaster enthusiests will withstand 40-50 degrees temperatures.

I think this year I'll fall back on the basics and build a Russian ice slide in my backyard! :)

Hey skiing to me is almost as good as coastering! I love to ski! And it isn't because of the snow bunnies, either. ;)

And when there's no snow bunnies, a hobby will keep you out of trouble! One day I did and it dawned on me that I would never have to leave my rides! I could try to build 'em! Well, the link below says the rest......... :)

Winter is much more enjoyable when there are mountains around. Skiing is still the best winter natural high available. Few things can beat crusing down a black diamond at 40+ mph, sun shining, and fresh powder beneath your feet. Ahhh, I can feel it now. Will feel it for real nextweek at Shugarbush, Vermont.

Everybody calm down, the coasters do not open for another fifteen minutes.
I don't like skiing, but i do love the winter. Personally i've always enjoyed the change of seasons. Who's ever heard of Christmas without snow?? Noone around here in Cleveland has.
But i do have to admit that it gets a little old around the end of March when the new season is getting close enough to tease.
Well, you all could go tubing, and pretend you are ona waterslide with a rough landing, or you could take a inexpensive trip to Vegas like me in 2 weeks and suffer it out in our greatest state.
I live in Iowa, so skiing is pretty much nonexistent. I'm too poor to afford a snowmobile, and I live in a town of less then 10,000 people.

You build it, I'll ride it
Yeah, Ghostrider was running pretty fast yesterday. I hope SFMM is nice and empty on Sunday, I can't wait to feel those 7 1/2 seconds of 4+ g's. Sorry, had to rub it in guys.

Say no, to lap bar nazis!

Actually one of the reasons that parks close down is that kids are in school. Kids are a big part of their attendance most ride-ops are kids. Even if a park is open in California, Texas, or Florida it only operates on week-ends.
Also, a little time off gives parks a time to build rides, make improvements to the park, and do managerially stuff.
