So, now that we've solved the puzzle, where would you go if you could only go to 5 parks in a week with unlimited transportation?

Rocky should probably go first since he actually gets to take the trip (I just need $20 from everyone on the board right now. ;) )

I don't want to go to any parks, Pat.

I'll just take the Dalmation, thank you very much.

Rocky, not even with Vanna?

Rocky, please say NO! What kind of sick game show is this? ;)

Well, ok...Twist my arm.

Seeing that money is no object and that the only way I'll ever get to some Japanese parks is in fantasy mode, I guess I'll go with Vana (but not with Va-Moosh!)...

For my vacation, I'd like to put off traveling until the new Paramount Park in Japan opens, which I will visit on opening day.

From there I will head to Tokyo for some sight-seeing and the fabulous Disney parks there that I've heard so much about. I've always wanted to visit Tokyo Disneyland, and Tokyo Disneysea sounds amazing.

While in the Tokyo area, I'd also love to ride Thunder Dolphin, as I'm a big fan of Intamin hypercoasters.

Of course no coaster loser's vacation to Japan would be complete without a trip to Nagashima Spa Land, so a stop there is in order.

I thought about Japan too and I would definitely visit those parks (but possibly not Paramount's) if I were really big into steel. Don't get me wrong, I like steel, but I'd definitely do the CCI/CGI thang starting in Silverwood, passing through IB, HW, and Dollywood before wrapping things up at Knoebel's.

But with Wisconsin Dells out there, I just don't know which park I'd pass on to go there. Probably IB since I've already been there.

I've been to most of the US parks that I really want to go to, dicounting Dollywood, SDC and CC, but I'll get to those this year.

I'm not saying that I have a huge track record or anything (around 195 or so), but there aren't many US parks left that I haven't been to that would be part of a dream or fantasy trip. I'm kind of weird when it comes to parks in that I've been to more obscure places like Silverwood, but never to SFGAd or any of the Busch parks.

I discounted Europe from this as well, because, as I haven't been to any European parks, the odds are very high that I will someday get to some of the better ones because my better half loves Europe but has absolutely no desire to travel anywhere in Asia.

I guess the topic is a no-brainer (where would you go if you could go anywhere?). I guess a more interesting question might be where would you go if you could go anywhere versus where you are planning to go next realistically?

I think realistically we'll either head to Silverwood or the HW area. Unrealistically, the one's I mentioned above.

At 195, your track record is decent...a lot more decent than mine. When I was younger, I did make a LOT of road trips for coasters, but living in Northern California at the time, a road trip meant the Socal scene. I would have loved to have been in Pennsylvania for example in terms of my hobby...but then again, with all the other stuff going on up there, I'm not heart-broken.

Now that I have to be more selective however, it's all about the small wacky parks like Indiana Beach.

I think being selective is really what it's all about for me, as well.

I could very easily take trips that revolve around getting every credit at every big themer, but I choose to spend my time and money getting to the places that I feel wil probably be most rewarding to me - Indiana Beach, Knoebel's, Silverwood, Waldameer, etc., and the Disney parks.

It's pretty interesting, as you pointed out, that my dream vacation would revolved around bigger theme parks when my real trips revolve around smaller parks - minus the Disney trips.

I think this is actually a really cool topic, either way you approach it.

To all I was attempting some humor....some people might have caught it....if not I apologize.

Sorry Moosh.

I call Ken Jenkins ;)...

Here are my five parks: Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, MGM, Animal Kingdom, and Blizzard Beach. I have wanted to go to Disney World since I was 5, I used to have a Disney World tape that i used to watch every day. I haven't been fortunate enough to go there yet, but when I do, I will leave all of this enthusiast crap behind and enjoy myself.

Anywhere would be a coaster/sightseeing combo: Alton, Blackpool, Holiday (GER), wherever Katun is in Italy, the place in Spain that wanted to build the B&M 4-D, the place in Denmark with the tiny B&M, and WBMW in Madrid.

Realistic, well in two weeks I'm doing Hershey/Knoebels/Dorney/SFGAdv so I guess that's a decent trip. I might try and do a Dollywood or Holiday World before the season's over, but I'm not sure if it'll work out.

I have a decent track record (over 100) but I still prefer the mega-parks and "concrete jungles" to little parks that I feel like I spent way too much time and money to get to. I like getting the most bang for my buck, and even places that are supposed to be stellar like Dollywood and Holiday World have always fallen victim in my trip planning to their lack of nearby mega-parks that can be easily wrapped into the trip.

Well...to each their own say I. ;) I like to go out of my way to find something unique. Mega parks all seem to have similar rides, food, scenery, and customer service. I can get that nearby...so if I'm going to travel, I might as well look for something I can't find just around the corner.

I'm down with the sighseeing/coaster combo though. It'd be cool if they had a waterslide to the bottom of the grand canyon (and a ski-lift back up) ;)
