Six Flags has not made an official announcement on the fate of SFMM. If a decision has been made chances are few, if anyone, here on Cbuzz knows.

For SFMM to close for good, it needs to be sold first, specifically to a land developer not interested in keeping it a theme park. Last we've heard, they're trying to sell all five parks as a package so that they remain open with new owners.
One thing at a time.
They're trying to do them all as a package together? I don't remember reading that but maybe I just missed it.
I guess the Discovery Channel will have to mothball that long-running special: Ultimate Theme Park or better yet, sell it to the History channel.
