Will Lesourdville Lake open this year?

I've read up on some of the articles that have come out of Middletown, and I hear someone is close to purchasing it?

Well, did he? Will it be open for Memorial Day this year? Or, did it all fall through?

I'd like to know because I was thinking about having a picnic there for the band July For Kings (also from Middletown) and our hefty fan base.

There are no plans for the park to open for the 2004 season. Sorry. :(

PKI does picnics, but that would probably be more expensive than what you're looking for. You could look into Coney Island as well if people don't mind the location.

Theres also Strickters Grove in Ross. Not far from Lesordsville.

Nah, it was just an idea. I think we'll just go to Eden Park again I guess... Knoebels is possible though, because there are a lot of PA fans so I'm pushing for a Knoebels picnic. That'd be rad, but probably not likely.

Oh well... that sucks... I was hoping to just go to Lesourdsville this year even if the picnic wasn't being held at that location. Shucks.

I was wondering the same thing as coastingohio. The most recent ACE news had one page write-up about Lesourdsville possibly re-opening, and I though that there might be some hope. That is really a bummer.

Lesourdsville will not be open n 2004. The owner of Peony has pulled out of negotiations and Couch insist the park isn't for sale.

There is however one other group trying to get the managment of the park for 2005.

Chuck, who doesn't believe a word Couch says to the media. He will only talk to parties interested directly and is known to misslead the media and enquireing minds.
