Will Idora Park return from the dead?

Well IMHO there is no reason for Lesourdsville Just to Survive, This park should prosper with the right people running it and picnic packages. The area is growing in population 10% a year!!!!! and a low cost fun alternative to PKI is just whats needed.

I'm not saying that there isn't a need for small traditional parks... obviously, LeSourdesville did something right to survive until this day. A park like Idora, on the other hand, stumbled along the way, which resulted in them closing. If someone were to bring Idora back as it was, that means that the same problems that once existed (bad location, bad reputation, bad selection of rides, etc.) would exist again.

Rides? who needs good rides? From the looks of Wyandot Lake, all you need is a wave pool!

I never really got the point of wave pools but whatever.

Idora on the other hand had a couple of rides I'd like to trade the Wyandot Wave pool for.

I guess that wave pools make sense in middle of the country, but not around here. On the east coast, one of the biggest wave pools in the world isn't very far away.

I never got the attraction of ocean waves either and I lived in NJ for 24 years! But yeah, I see your point. Must be related to the abundance of tanning salons around here.

I guess it depends if you care for the salt water, the sand and the jellyfish :) The ocean is for some people, not for others... but still, I could never understand why you would put in a wave pool with the ocean close by when you could invest in things that you can't find down the shore!

80 minutes by car with 2 or more children isn't a 'walk in the park' LOL
