Will Griffon be open for BGE's opening weekend (24th & 25)?

Thinking about heading up to opening weekend, just curious to see if Griffon would be running. The press releases say opening late spring, but final track construction occured Feb. 22nd. If anyone knows anything, it would be appreciated.
Last I heard, no, it will NOT be ready for opening weekend. It will be close to opening, and you might see some testing with a soft opening soon after, but do not expect to get a ride opening weekend.

If you can't stand the heights, get out of the line.

Definitely not, unless they kick some serious butt this week. I was just there on Saturday, and there was still a fair amount of work left to be done. I don't even know how close they are to testing.

Ground construction is still in progress, and I didn't see the ride testing at all the other day, though they have at least 1 train in the maintenance shed.

I would guess that we're looking at no sooner than the end of April.

coastin' since 1985

I'm going March 31, it'll be my first time at BG....anyone know if the Skyride would be open yet? Or will it still be down for Griffon construction?

Anything else closed that early in the season? Like water rides?

Think I remember them saying that it wasn't going to open till late spring of this year, which would probably put it around the end of April into early May.

There are two types of people in the world. People who like coasters and idiots.

We are going there next week. Can't wait for the first coaster ride of the season.
Griffon is now testing according to Coaster Crew;

I watched Griffon test from about 4:00 on today. Man does that thing look like a killer drop. Beyond that I just really noticed today how short the ride is.
Heres video of it testing;
