Will Cornball Express be underrated?

I recently rode this little Custom Coaster masterpiece and found it to be one of my favorite coasters. Definitely in my top ten of mixed steel and wood. It offers plenty of air time and great drops! The ride only last for about 45 seconds, but the quality of the ride is what counts.

What I'm wondering is, will it be underrated just because of it's name? Almost everyone who I've talked to the coaster about in the chats and in instant messaging immediately didn't like the coaster just because of it's name. Here are a couple of reasons why I like the name and have no problem with it:

1. Indiana Beach seems to name their newer coasters by something Indiana related to use as a theme (Hoosier Hurricane, Cornball Express).
2. If you actually look up "Cornball" in the dictionary, it says something about "One who acts in a mawkish or unsophisticated manner," which you can see fits the ride with the definition.
3. Corn balls are real...it's not like something the park made up to sound dorky. It's a popcorn ball stuck together with molasses. They aren't half bad.

I just wanted to point out a few of those things. I hope it doesn't get extremely underrated because it's an awesome ride that's full of fun and excitement. Well, I'm done ranting for the night...time to go to bed ;)

What do you think?

That ride looks AWESOME! I wasn't expecting it to be much, as everyone was calling it a "family ride", but from what everyone says, it is terrific. I am so psyched about getting out to Indiana this summer, you enthusiasts that live near IB and Holiday World don't know how lucky you are to have all of those great woodies!

I heard someone on RRC say that some people were trashing IB for building such a lackluster ride... anyone who says that about IB and the Cornball Express should be questioning whether they are enthusiasts or not!
Well I'm glad you guys are digging it...I love the ride so much, I'm going back tomorow to ride it over and over :)

Oh yes we do! Indiana is the CCI capitol of the world!

Closely followed by Wisconsin! But for now, we have the most and the most unique CCI coasters than any other state ;)

Who ever rides the cornball express is going to love this coaster. IF it is underrated it is going to be because it is short in length. I don't think she is going to be overrated at all though because of the amount of air time.
I rode Cornball Express 11 times yesterday and I seemed to like it better with every ride. The front and back rows are definately the way to go with my nod to the back row. I had so much fun just watching the people get scared silly from the head chopper that is along the water. Great air on every drop in the back seat. Although for obvious reasons (speed and size) it's not quite in the class of Raven, The Legend, The Boss or The Villian, CCI created a masterpiece on a smaller level.

On a side note Indiana Beach needs to do something about smoking in the queue houses and in line. Some guy even smoked a cigar on Cornball yesterday!

Sitting at home at 1:30 today checking out Coasterbuzz, I decided to go see what all the hullabaloo was all about. All I can say is wow!!
50 Seconds of pure fun!! I got four rides in on both Cornball Express and Hoosier Hurricane between 3:45 and 6:00. Cornball Express is great but too short ride. Watch out for the flume spray!!
