Will Cedar Fair build a record breaking coaster in

What do you think? Will any of CF's other parks ever see a record breaking coaster, or will CP be the only park to get record breaking coasters?
I'm not sure exactly why CP gets all of the 'coaster attention' from Cedar Fair, but I think the next one to get something big (besides CP) would be Michigan Adventure.

I agree - it will attract a tremendous gathering from the area, and it really is due for a major attraction. I don't, however, think it will be for next year - I think Cedar Fair will play more conservative and focus on 2003 or 2004.

Dont mean to stray away from the topic, but whats up with all these posts about Cedar Fair/CP?
I noticed that too Bernard...

I have a feeling that Michigan's Adventure will be getting a hyper, -somthing along the lines of a Morgan- and although it won't be record breaking, I think it will be big.

look at Steel Dragon 2000 in Japan. It's a Morgan giga actually. Well, still a hyper.
Aren't all CF hypers Morgans? If so, Mamba, Wild Thing, Steel Force, and Magnum are Morgan hypers. They're all the same coaster with different colors. ;)

And I LOVE CP, so Get Up Out of My Azz About It! :)
Magnum is an Arrow coaster. And of course, MF is an Intamin creation.

Has everyone forgotten about KBF, I thought that they were supposed to get something big for 2002.I personally think that Cedar Point or Knotts will be the only park that will get a record breaking coaster.
The articles I read yesterday indicated that Cedar Fair was allowing Michigan's Adventure's 2002 steel coaster to go through as planned. So when a hyper opens next year at MA, don't thank Cedar Fair, they had nothing to do with it.

My personal guess would be Morgan, given the park's history with them. I'd love to be wrong and see an Intamin, but that's purely wishful thinking on my part.

Oh well, just as long as that park doesn't get turned into ValleyFair! 2 I'll be happy.

For the hundredth time, Magnum is an Arrow. And Magnum, Steel Force, Mamba, and Wild Thing are NOT the same ride with different colors. Don't let your opinions make you look ignorant.

I wonder if adding a coaster of choice is Cedar Fair's gift to the parks they buy out. Knott's got GhostRider, which was planned before the CF buyout but built after. Now, it looks like Michigan's Adventure is getting the same deal.

Probably just a coincidence, though. ;)

BigKirby,

Yes, Phantom was originally an arrow design, but in its new incarnation, as Phantom's revenge, Morgan removed sections and saved others creating an Arrow/Morgan mix...
