Wilderness Theatre@SFGAm

How come SFGAm doesn't use it?
Well it's in horrible shape first of all and they already have a better theatre in southwest territory. Plus its pretty small.
maybe they dont want anyone to fall into the pool!

The Wilderness Theater is a "not very often used" area back in the Yukon Territory. It is not very well maintaned, but the park does utilize it once in awhile for outings/events (such as church events at the park, dance competitions, etc.)

Here's a pic of it here:

Hope that helps!

Thank you very much!

I wish that would have ripped out that piece of junk and some of the picnic grove and put Superman there instead of tearing down my beloved Shock Wave :-/

"NO!!!" They should not tear it out. What they should do is bring it back to its former glory as a dolphin show or a high dive show. Those were always crowd favorites during the Marriott era and the beginning of SF's ownership.

GamFan. If you want to see it, just go through Necropolis during Fright Fest. When you exit Necropolis , you will walk right by it.

WOW. I've been at the flags Many times. It's amazing we don't even know what's at our own park! I thought I knew everything until now : (

I seem to remember that at one time it held a diving show..Am I correct?

Thanks Great America!

Yes, it had a high dive show after they discontinued the dolphin show.

Before Camp Cartoon Network was put in, that land was used as a themed pathway to the theatre.

The current SFGAM management is too cheap to put a attraction at this location and would just perfer it to stay in its blighted condition!!

Bob O, Bob O!!! :)

What are we going to do with you? As mentioned above, the theatre is used for private functions along with the picnic grove. I just love how you word your remarks to make it seem like you know for a FACT that the park is just cheap. Funny stuff dude.

AAAHHHH!!! Is Great America taking down the Power Dive as well? On MrSkyWhirl's ShockWave removal page there it appears there is a picture of the Power Dive in the parking lot. ANYONE!?!?! HELP! I LOVE THAT RIDE!!!!

That ride is history. Its already completely dismantled.

Except for the platform and base of the supports, of course. Lots of people speculate that a modified ferris wheel would fit nicely on the existing platform/supports..... which would be cool.

Warning: This message was composed on a computer in a household where peanuts and peanut products are served.

The Wilderness Theatre area has always been a coaster fanatics rumor mill for a mine train type coaster, which would be pretty cool back there with all the trees and Loggers Run. Think of the possibilities.
Um, Power Dive's been gone all season. Sorry.
Why not put a ferris wheel at the front of the park, in some of Shockwave's terrain? Or would it make the park look too "carnivalesque"?
