My wife and I attended the first to ride event yesterday for 1:30pm. At 1:18 our passes our scanned and we were let into the queue. They were running all 3 trains with the line moving well. Approximately 30 to 40 minutes later we were on.
From the drop off the lift hill to the brakes it's non stop. One element after the next. It's pacing and intensity are perfect. Every train hit the brakes with a burst of applause and cheers.
I just know when it opens on June 2nd It's going to have 3 to 4 hour waits. Hope you can make it to Hersheypark for a lap.
Good to hear the line moves well. Did it appear the unload station setup helps? It's a slow process to unload RMC's, so thought this would be a good idea.
I didn't know it had an unload station and 3 trains. I think I saw somewhere that it has multi move so as long as they have their **** together it should help capacity quite a bit on busy days.
The unload station does seem to make a difference in capacity. I wasn't aware they were going to have a separate unload station until we rode. The train hitting the chain goes slow until the 3rd train clears the brake run and then speeds up.
You also exit out the same side as the entrance unlike the old Wildcat, so you can retrieve you items out of the free lockers.
We are heading back Saturday for at least another lap or 2.
thinking of going the last Friday of June (4th of July weekend). Anyone else gonna be there?
Got three more laps yesterday including front row and last row. I prefer the front, but several of my riding friends liked the back more. It wasn't bad about 40 to 50 minute waits with them letting in line cutters.
My wife and I haven't ever bought FastTrack at the park but are considering it just to be able to ride that more than a few times.
^^^Jebcoaster make sure to buy FastTrack unlimited so you can ride as much as you want.
We are considering Busch Gardens Williamsburg over the fourth and know that we'll have to pay for their quick queue if we want to be able to ride as packed as it gets there.
Just did our preview night. Wildcat’s Revenge was great but not exceptional. It felt like it was just missing some of the big ridiculous air time moments of other RMC’s like Twisted Timbers. Skyrush surprised me the most, not having ridden it since opening season. The restaints felt less pinchy which allowed me to appreciate just how completely insane the layout is. I was on a wing seat and was genuinely concerned about being ripped out and flung into the pond. I think I liked it but I’m not entirely sure.

This thread makes me feel like I need to get up to PA maybe next year. It's been too long. How is Lightning Racer these days?

Exactly how I feel about that ride.

It's still one of my favorites, but I was there in 2021 and it was starting to show signs of getting rough. It wasn't too bad at the time, but I could tell it might be headed that way. Hopefully they've done some trackwork since then.
