Well, I can see Six Flags eventually turning Wild Waves into a Hurricane Harbor, and maybe extending the open dates a little. SFEV needs to be open earlier in the year, because there is a desire for it here. However, until they add more flats, coasters, etc... it won't happen. The season is too short here in the Seattle area for major waterpark fun, but it's enough, and there are enough people to keep it up and in business, especially if Six Flags pumps up the fancy factor. We'll see.

Silverwood is NOT competition for anything else in the northwest. It's too far away, and that's fine. It is what it is.

Timberhawk opens in June! I'm gonna beat you to it... ;)

I've heard that EV/WW is getting the old Greased Lightning from PGA for next year. I don't know if it's true or not though. Silverwood's next big project is supposed to be a racing wooden coaster. I would guess that won't happen until 2005, but who knows. They could change their plans too. I agree with Rob that Silverwood and EV aren't really in competition. That's like saying that Hershey Park and Cedar Point are major competitors. They are both pretty good parks though. Silverwood and EV are my #2 and #3 favorite parks in the Northwest respectively.

FYI, I've heard that with the opening of the waterpark Silverwood's attendance has almost doubled from last year. If that is indeed true that third woodie might come sooner than we think.

It's coming Aug 18th, and your 2004 will never be the same!

That's no surprise, Moosh...Silverwood was *packed* the day Keith and I were there. And guess where most of the people were...at the waterpark.

I can't believe some corporate parks like SFGAm don't have a waterpark. They suck in soooo many people it's ridiculous! And waterparks that are included with the admission price? Best idea ever!

Even at SFEV, Joe? Even with that hefty $11 locker fee (for one ride, I might add)? ;)

Rob-who agrees with Joe, but won't be attending the water portion of the park again, anytime soon.

Hey man, you got $3 back from that $11 fee didn't ya! Quitcher*****in! ;)

But seriously, I hate locker fees in general. That's why I rarely *ever* get one (in fact I can't even remember the last time I got one...I'm content with finding a spot in the wave pool area and placing my stuff under a towel or something. Hasn't blown up in my face yet).

You suck big time.

Rumors are SFMW's Kong is going bye bye, if this is true, anyone want to take bets it ends up moving north along with Greased Lightning to SFEV?

Toss in SFGAM's old Shockwave and there's SFEV's 3 new coasters for next years flagging.

To quote your signature, I am not asking for anything near what you are suggesting. Greased Lightning, fine. Shockwave or Kong? Ugh.

I dont' see how WW/EV and Silverwood would be in competion. Too far apart from one another.

Oaks Parks in Portland,Oregon is closer but is not in the same league. The nearest competion to WW/EV I think would be the Vancouver PNE. The PNE is lacking in water rides, but in my opinion the PNE has better coasters and other rides that are more thrilling. I dont' do water rides and parks.( I cant' swim) However if the PNE wants to add a water park,I say bring it on. This would mean shorter waits for Coaster and the S&S tower for me.:)

Rob, did you get my e-mail?

------------------
Meet me at the PNE in 2003. Happy 45th birthday,Coaster!

Kong has been closed now for about 2 1/2 weeks. Ugh.

I wouldn't mind seeing PNE get a waterpark either! I do think it'd cut down on lines, but I can't see it happening. Not at least until the land use issue is solved up there.

I sent you an email, Ron.:)
