Wild Thing...gimme the lowdown

It pisses me off that they have to have those brakes on so damn hard, they COMPLETELY ruin the ride, and I haven't gotten airtime on the return hops for the past two years, one correction... On the back of the Wild thing on ride photo it says the second hill is 103 feet tall, and that Wild thing, on the second hill, has the World's longest weightlessness zone on a coaster....

Ugh, that's it, there is WAY too much love for this coaster in this thread!  ;)

Wild Thing is easily the worst hyper coaster in the country to me (I get to "legally" say that!  :-P).  The first drop is good, the second hill isn't as good as you'd think it'd be, and the turnaround is pretty slow and uneventful, save for the intense second half of it.

But where this coaster really starts sucking is right after that helix.  What a waste of track the entrance to the block brake is!  It's slow, meandering, never gains speed again from that point on.

Thank God the brakes on the blocks almost completely stop you!  Else you might leave the seat in a moment of airtime (Valleyfair translated means "against all airtime").

Overall it's an uneventful, mediocre coaster...and this is coming from someone whose top ten consists of like seven hypers.  Take it for what it's worth.

PS Did I mention the trains have such high seatbacks you can barely even see people in them?

Have you ever considered that maybe it's not you that's the problem, but THE PARK? ;)

Hey, Legendary, now we're getting somewhere.  ;)

Take Wild Things aritime and Mamba's helix and you got a no. one ride!!! Sounds like Superman at darien lake to me!!!
