Unless there was a "defect" that is related to Morgan, the daily inspection should be enough to get the rides open in a timely manner.

What I'm suprised that no one here reacted to was this little bit:

"As she left the hospital Sunday evening, Merchant said she fell out of the car but her friend was stuck, so she helped her get out. Then they ran off, she said."

When the car de-railed did the restraints fail too? Is this like the old Arrow cars where you just step on a pedal to release an individual car or does it need the special "key"? How did these kids just evacuate themselves?

^I read that and just ignored it. If you click on the short videos above, it clearly shows six people being evacuated from the last car, so she didn't "fall out" of that one. If she was in car five I doubt very much the lap bar just released on its own. Also the brake run evac platform is in a secure area probably behind a locked fence. How did she manage to run off?

I went there on Saturday and I did notice that it felt a bit shaky and that it ended hard on the brake run. I like the roller coaster in general, but I really wouldn't mind if they replaced it with a giga coaster. Well... i can dream. Other than that, it said on the news that the people are ok now. That's good news at least.

Steel Eel was inspected but open agian?? I know since Steel Eel is at Sea World, it is very safe because I have never seen one of their rides break down once. I got every other week for entire days with friends. Steel Eel does though have a very tight lap bar. In the back, it provides serious ejector airtime. Also their rides are maintained well. Is the accident just a freak thing like Steel Dragon or was it because someone did not put the whole assembly on correctly?

^ I use to live 10 minutes from Sea World San Antio. (I had season ticket to both SFFT and SWSA.) Every time I went there every ride was open and did not break down while I was there. The only time a ride was close was to due to a severe lightning storm.
