Wild Rides with Matt Dillon.

Just discovered this over at YouTube. Matt Dillon hosts 6 parts to this. I guess this is from the early 80's. It's cheesy but at the same time funny and well, it showcases coasters. :)

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

WOW!

That's hilarious... if I was a teenage girl from 1984, I might actually be swooning right now.

:P

Thanks for posting...

Wild Rides was shown on the Nickelodeon Channel in the early 1980s. MTV also showed the musical segments as "music videos." It features music of The Cars, The Who, Steve Miller, Steely Dan, Jimi Hendrix, and Dave Mason.

Wild Rides was released on video by Warner Brothers in 1984.

Keep the small parks alive!
Cheesy! Can you say "Vinnie Barbarino"? Too bad it's such a hack of an editing job. Otherwise it would be a pretty good video of Colossus when it still had the leg crunching double-up and double-down.
That is totally 80's, and pretty damn funny.

Bought a used copy of Wild Rides through Amazon.com last year. It's stupendously bad. Especially when Dillon tries to ad lib. But aside from the glaring cinematic/artistic flaws, it's got some great "vintage" coaster footage. I can't think of that Steely Dan song without thinking of Circus World...
That video is pretty much what sparked my interest in coasters. Matt doesn't exactly do a good job but you still get the point.

I had to put mine on DVD because the tape would be dead by now!

Lol,

I just bought a copy from amazon as well. It was only a few bucks. I have to see this.:)

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
