Wild Mouse at Miracle Strip?

Last year while I was at Panama City Beach on vacation, Miracle Strip had a new spinning wild mouse right in the front of the park, in front of the new drop ride. The ride looked identical to the one at Disney Animal Kingdom but without the dino theme of course. Well I have checked rcdb and here and nothing showed about a new wild mouse, I even check the Miracle Strip web site and nota. Please tell me someone else was there last year and saw this at the park, let me know that I'm not going crazy. I was there in August of 2002. Does anyone know anything about this spinning wild mouse? Why would they add a ride for such a short amount of time then remove it?

Rider - me and some friends also rode the mouse at MSAP last year. The ride was there on a temp basis from the manufacture or owner of the ride. I think I remember reading that this mouse was supposed to go to Rye but might have the facts wrong on that. Very fun mouse. The spinning really adds to the ride alot I think.

Thanks for confirming that for me. Now at least I know that I am not going crazy. I didn't ride it though because I figured it would be there this year too. Oh well.
Like Jim said we were there last April and were surprised to see it there. The people that we asked say it was temporary until they get the one they had bought built. Don't know if that is true but that is what they said. We have some pictures of it here http://www.themeparksonline.org/tpoRides.asp?ID=5174&selYear=2002&sec=20000&ParkID=104

I was there last July and it definately was not there.
Bosshawk, I don't know when it was built but I went twice last year and it was only there the first time I went. My wife pointed out to me that it was there at the beginning of August, the first time we went, but it was gone on our second trip at the end of August. It must have not been there long at all.

Argh! We did get to SEE the mouse there, and my info was that it was there on loan from Reverchon, who apparently has a plant somewhere nearby (AL, perhaps?). It was testing, and we got some pics of it, but there were no rides for us....since some of you *did* get to ride, I have to assume it was there for more than just display purposes. It would have been my first outdoor spinner....

rollergator, as I said in my first post the ride looks almost identical to the one at Disney Animal Kingdom, and I did get to ride that one and it was a lot of fun. I have not done research on the maker of the one at Animal Kingdom but the cars and track appear to be made by the same manufacturer if I was to judge by looks alone. I wish I would had taken a ride on this when I was there but didn't even think about it only being there temporarily.
Reverchon has a plant in Panama City, actually. The ride tested and ran at Miracle Strip before it was shipped to its owner, Amusements of America.
