Wild Adventures Help

Hmm, I didnt know Georgia had an all year round operating park. Guess you learn something new everyday. :)

Chitown,

Valdosta (where WA is) is very close to the Georgia/florida border. More northern parks like SFoG aren't open.

BTW, It was only like 40 degrees for a high when I visited on new years eve. GA dose have winter, You want proof? I had to cancell a day of my trip due to a 7 inch snow storm from macon to just north of atlanta.

Chuck, who when he got a quarter of the way into TN saw clear skys and no snow in sight. The waffle house waitress in Macon said that was only the second time she had seen snow. I said you can keep it :)

Is it about coasters or friends? I say both!

Darth. I know where Valdosta is at. Being near the Florida border doesnt mean anything to me. Northern Florida doesnt get winter type conditions during Jan. and Feb. but its not exactly tropical either.

Is Tiger Terror still there? That is a certain 1-ride. It has to THE roughest and least maintained coaster in existence.

Hmm, Chuck. Guess I'll hafta watch the weather. And I thought I could pull out my plad shorts again. :( Thanks for the warning though.

Tiger Terror has been removed and Zamperla's Fiesta Express installed in its place (may not open until January, though).

WA's water rides will open if the temperature is 67 degrees during the Winter.

Hangman is DDM for December, Boomerang will be DDM in January.

The best woodie in Georgia is still GASM, I don't care what you say!

Eeeeeekkkkkkgkgggggggggghhhhh! (picture a belt being tightened around the midsection to understand that exclamation over the massive injustice-ness of such a statement.

Might I refer you to this little gem of a picture, just for your drothers??

If I hadn't ridden THIS year, I would've said GASM too...(never been to Lake Winnie though). The work done on Cyclone this past off-season was NOTHING short of miraculous IMO. Anyone know WHO did the work on it? GASM is still the same classic ride, (sometimes a little better, sometimes a little worse), but a beautifully placed out-n-back with nice air and a *DUCK* headchopper into the brake shed area.....;)

P.S. That picture, assuming I can see clearly, shows the lapbar has come up into the unlocked position. The ONLY restraint on the back seat rider is the seatbelt (and gravity of course)...

You can NOT TRUTHFULLY name one woodie in GA that is more painful than GA Cyclone. It goes beyond a little roughness and gets into kidney bashing, and yes I have ridden it this year.

By the way best wood in GA lies at Lake Winnie.

Homey G., while Cyclone is a fun coaster, I prefer GASM which is actually one of my top 10 woodies. The laterals and positive verticals are a little too hard for my tastes to enjoy a lot, but I'll still ride it. The Racer is another one of my favorites and GASM is like a bigger version of that to me, so I fell in love with it. Excuse me for being a fan of that kick-arse gem. :)
