Wild & Crazy Kids & SFMM

Does anyone remember watching the Wild & Crazy Kids show when they shot it at Six Flags Magic Mountain? I just thought of that today during class.

It was funny, one of the games was where 2 teams (red & blue) both went on Colossus with cups of colored water (red if they were on the red team and...). Well the challenge was to see which team had the most water left over at the end of the ride. I forget who one but that looked fun.

Then another game they did was like an old atari game or something where the people moved around in the parking lot while the other team threw water balloons at them.

I forget the last game. Anyone remember it?

Actually, they went downhill after they CANCELLED the show. Now they've turned into some pre-teen version of MTV, and as much as I hate MTV...

Yes, it is Colossus. Good call.

Man, I remember a similar show that had kids competing on the rides back in the 70's. I think there was one that involved a water basketball, hoop, and Jet Stream...I can't remember for sure though. Magic Mountain has been in movies and TV a lot due to its proximity to the industry.

I totally agree with you. I don't even watch that channel anymore. Except for the Rugrats =}. I bet you if they did that same game today with the re-profiled Colosuss everyone would come out a winner. The coasters to tame now. That show was filmed before Colosuss got re-profiled.

I remember that show (like many of you). But for some reason I dont remember that episode. Maybe one of ya can be realy, realy nice and get it up on line.

Hey guys, remember this,

"Camp Anawana,
We hold you in our heart.
And when we think about you,
It makes me wanna fart!"

Haha, back when fart was a word your mother yelled at you for saying.

Also, I liked All That, but then I met SNL.

I remember about 7 years ago when Wild and Crazy Kids came every year to SFMM to do a "show".  It was never on TV; it was just for the guests.  They did the show in the Golden Bear Theatre near Log Jammer.  I remember I was in that show where I had to throw water balloons at some kids next to a bus (or something like that.)

Yes, I remember that episode of W&CK.  The game in the parking lot was a version of Space Invaders.

Speaking of Colossus and TV, is the roller coaster in the intro to the show Step by Step Colossus @ SFMM?  I thought it looked like Colossus, but it shows it standing right next to the ocean. It kind of looked like the ocean was added in, but I could not tell.

I remember the show and the good ol' shows that the network had, but I don't remember the episode.  sadly, I didn't have cable back then ::tear::  but God did Nick crash and burn after those shows went off the air.

SOLUTE YOUR SHORTS!! Ha ha. That show was funny in its time. Do you remember....HEEEEEY DUUUDDDE.
I miss Roundhouse and You Can't Do That on Television!

But yea I remember that episode. They did a lot of park stuff. Remember thier trips to Raging Waters?

Yeah I remember that show. I never liked it much. I liked the one that was similar where there were teams competing in that buliding. They would have names like Barracudas, Monkeys, Cardinals, etc. At the end, the final round was this huge mountain. They  had to push a button at the top. Then they would get a huge Nickelodeon rock and a medal.
They went downhill when they stopped airing "You can't do that on television!!" Oh man, I feel old. Hey Rugrats is great even for adults. My kid loves it. Otherwise they are not that fun anymore.

I actually have that W&CK segment on tape.  Speaking of Nickelodeon and coasters, does anyone remember "Don't Just Sit There?"  It was a variety show with four teenage hosts, and it was pretty hilarious... at least in my 12-year-old mind.  Anyway, for one episode, the hosts went to Six Flags Great Adventure, and they showed some great footage of the then brand-new Great American Scream Machine.  I'm relatively sure they showed some other flat rides, too.

You ae referring to "Legend of the Hidden Temple".  That show was OK.  Nothing special to me.  I was seriously considering mailing Nickelodeon once they cancelled Salute your Shorts and Hey Dude, though.  Those were my two favorite TV shows!

You're thinking of two different shows here..... the one where the teams had the animal names was the show 'Legends of the Hidden Temple'.  That show was awesome at the end when they had to go through the temple and retrieve the 'artifact'.  The other one with the 'Aggro-Crag' was Guts, or later on Global Guts.  That was another great show :D
Anyone remember 'Nick Arcade'??  :)
