"Wiggles World" announced for SFGADv.

SFGAdv along with a couple other SF parks are getting this new kids area for the 2007 season. Based on what I have been told, SFGAm is one of the other parks slated to get this expansion for 2007 also.

My favorite MJ tune: "Billie Jean" which I have been listening to alot now. RIP MJ.

I think Great Adventure has enough kiddie rides and kiddie areas. There are enough 54" maximum rides in the park with Bugs Bunny National Park, Looney Tunes Seaport and the kiddie rides in the Golden Kingdom. I know the new approach of SF is families but there is still a huge lack of family rides in the park.

For someone too big for the kiddie rides but too small for the big coasters plus people who don't like coasters and thrilling rides, there are only a handful of rides to choose from. I think that the park really could use an antique car ride, a train, a dark ride and some family flats a lot more than another kiddie area. *** Edited 12/12/2006 1:46:46 AM UTC by YoshiFan***

This is such a big deal to our family that are summer vacation may have just been decided. My kids will totally flip out! Especially since up till now the only other "Wiggles World" is located in Australia.
Man I wish I could find the thread from about 6-8 weekd ago where some dude SWORE up and down that he knew how Wiggle's World would have some giant record breaking coaster in it and how "we would all see" :)

Real Cbuzz quote of the day - "The classes i take in collage are so mor adcanced then u could imagen. Dont talk about my emglihs" - Adamforce
Doesnt matter to me. Ill just go to the new park they are building on Long island for my flat fix :)

Then go to adventureland for my huss frisbee fix lol.

Wow, seems like they have their eyes set on King's Island as a benchmark. Not sure if its good or bad decision. But in my mind they had the right amount of baby rides already.

Fate is the path of least resistance.

Announced just days after the Yellow Shirt Wiggle dude leaves the group for health reasons.

(I'm sure there's some hidden meaning there ;) )

What the hell is a Wiggle?

The Wiggles are HUGE with the preschool crowd. They're Australian entertainers for kids - TV show seen worldwide, live sold out concerts, etc.

They were the highest earning entertainers in Australia last year outgrossing AC/DC and Nicole Kidman and bringing in something like $39 million.

^ It's not easy to "out-gross" AC/DC.... :)

gator, on the superhighway to heck... ;)

Heck, after "School Of Rock", AC/DC probably has a bit of a kiddie following.

I know my kids dig "Long Way To The Top" after seeing that movie a couple of years ago. They still like to catch that ending when it's on TV.

I guess I'm out of the whole "Wiggles" loop, being without kids and all. I had no idea they were so big. Heck, I had no idea who they were!

AC/DC... they still around?

Apparently they're around as much as the Wiggles and Nicole KIdman. :)

Sounds good....we're that much closer to that record breaking 4D...right?

Probably not exactly what SF is putting in, but gives a good indicator of what to expect:

Big Red Car Ride: http://www.roller-coaster.com.au/gallery.php?gid=112

Sorta a poor mans Seusse Landing?

The Wiggles cheat though. They have numerous "road" companies touring at the same time in different countries. There's only one Nicole and one Angus. Plus AC/DC didn't tour or release an album.

So will Six Flags now start selling Fruuuuuit Salad?

Where's you dig up that info, RGB? (on the multiple touring)

As far as I knew they ran two. One featuring the actual guys in the group and another featuring the secondary characters from the show. (kinda like Angus doing a solo tour and the other 4 guys doing their own tour ;) )

I dunno, when was the last time AC/DC (or even Nicole Kidman for that matter) was relevant? My guess is 1991 & 2001 respectively.

Best bet to topple the Wiggles several year reign as the top grossing Australian entertainer anytime soon? Keith Urban.

As far as how good this is potentially for the parks - I can only think of one licensing agreement that could possibly do better and that's Nickelodeon. And even then that's only because their product reaches a wider age group. If you want the 5 and under crowd, the Wiggles are pretty much the cream of the crop right now.
