Wicked Twister Spikes

on the rear and front spikes of Wicked Twister, is there a holding break, or do the twists restrict that?

It's been stated numerous times by several folks that other impulse coasters can keep their holding brakes. I for one totally agree with that line of thought. I liked S:UE at SFWOA but actually I found the holding brake to be a bit on the painfull side. It was neat no doubt about it but just not no where as thrilling as being pulled up that backwards spiral.

Pearl Jam + Roller Coasters = Heaven on Earth. :)

No, I rode WT a week ago, and I don't think WT would be as good with a holding brake. Amazing ride however, its like nothing you can imagine.

Why do they report power outages on TV?

WT with a holding break would just be weird. The ride is awesome the way it is, and I think a holding break wouldn't make it quite as good.

head over to www.guidetothepoint.com... It's CoasterBuzz's sister site. They have pics of everything Cedar Point.

I like that WT doesnt have a holding brake, and Superman over @ SFWOA does. Its a short distance and two totally different rides. Fun for all on both.

Hey man. Wanna buy some weed? Crack? Freepass on Millennium Force? I got the hook up...

How about if it had both. It would do a full twist and then go straight, and thats where the holding brake would be.

Virtual Midway is also a great site for CP pictures - everything from rides to food places and landscaping.

I think it would have been cool to add a straight piece of track right above the rear twist, so that a holding break could have been added. Looking down at the ground and at the twisted train would be very cool. However, I love it just the way it is and am not disappointed in it's ride performance whatsoever!
I love the way your looking straight down at the beach from even the back seat. Cool improvement to S:UE
If you want to see some pics of WT you can go over to the **gasp** official website! :) www.cedarpoint.com loads up several different pictures on the homepage.
