Wicked Twister Media Preview

Just back from the media event for Wicked Twister. A cold, chilly day, but it did not dampen the spirits of riders at all.
Cedar Point pulled out all the stops for this one and they did a great job. Media started live reports early and the ride was running when we arrived around 8am. Janice Witherow, Dan Keller, and Bill Linkenheimer all spoke a little after 9am. Then Dan and Bill cut the ribbon and riding started again.
Johnny Rockets was open for lunch. The food was wonderful (and the place was warm). I thought I saw a certain someone from GTTP inside ... one who said he'd never step foot in the place ... but I'm not sure
Ran into a several GTTP people including Jeff and his wife, Jeffrey Spartan, Magnum Dan, and Dave Althoff.
There has been discussion about WT's restraints and how they compared to Raptor. My opinion is they are much smaller and tighter than Raptor. I was not able to ride, though I have been able to ride Raptor, Power Tower, and Mantis in the past. The test seat seemed a bit larger than the real thing, so keep that in mind. I'm sure Dave (RideMan) will have more to say about that later, as we discussed this topic at the event.
All in all a great day, even without riding. The area around Wicked Twister looks fantastic and will look even better once the satellite trucks are gone
