Wicked is now OPEN!

I just got off the phone with my younger sister that lives in Salt Lake and she was out at Lagoon on Friday. She said they finally opened up Wicked around 3 p.m. She didn't go into great detail other than it is a great coaster and it is nice to have another coaster out there that flips you upside down. Hopefully I will be getting my own credit on this ride before the end of the month and if all works out then I will send out a nice TR for you all. Have fun riding! *** Edited 6/4/2007 12:11:13 AM UTC by S&SFAN***

Sweet. I'm looking forward to visitng this park sometime soon. They have a very interesting lineup of coasters and flat rides.

^"Sometime" soon you say? Got any dates in mind? ;)

Even before Wicked was announced, Lagoon had moved up to the top tier of "must visit" parks...two Antons, a Miller and Spider. :)

The only mis-step they made recently in terms of coasters....adding a junior invert. Stop making kids hate inverted coasters... ;)

The kids love those things though. Headbanging never seems to bother kids.

Bill, I'm thinking Labor Day weekend or sometime this fall.

Will they still let people ride it, though? I'd be in on a trip there. :)

Well, I plan on being there on the 27th of June and since my wife's twin sister still lives in Logan we will be staying up there for a few days so, hopefully I will get to check out the S&S park. Sonic Boom would be a total bonus.

Logan is about an hour drive north of Lagoon. In the fall it is one of the best canyon drives as you drive through Sardine Canyon to get to Logan. I will advise you that if you do make the drive up to Logan to drive the speed limit because there is almost always the small town cop from Mantua (pronounced Manaway) that likes to set up his speed trap.

It's so much more fun letting you tell me, Moosh. :)

I know this thing is a Zierer but it looks like a cross between an Intamin and Gerstlauer mix but it looks cool.
