Wichita man wants to invest in Joyland

Jerry Dowdy dreams of not only rehabbing the rides but also using some of the buildings for a school for the blind and a children's learning center. He will go before the city council Tuesday morning to ask for a $2 million loan.

To anyone who wants to resurrect the park, I wish them luck. The park's Allen woodie is a rare gem IMHO. No, it isn't an airtime machine. It's no Voyage or Ravine Flyer 2. But its pure fun from beginning to end and I hate to see it sit silent.
