Togo isn't out of the biz. Premier represents them in the states now.

I esspecially can't see why they would sell it when it was the first stand up with a loop.
I wouldn't believe anything unless there is a press release or pictures of work going on.
(Where is Shagy when you need him?) I have a hunch that King Cobra isn't going anywhere this season. Yea, the ride was listed on the used ride site but for some reason, I think it will stay for a while.
While the additions of the chest belt may prevent some riders from riding, the coaster still seems to be popular. As for modifying the trains, I would love to see that also, but I haven't got a clue what they could do to. Perhaps making the coaster as a sit-down would help. After all, there is a togo in Japan that runs a sit down train, AND a stand-up train on the same coaster!

Sean is right. I too have a sneaky suspicion that good 'ol King Cobra will be in place and running next season. Just call it blind faith.
As far as Togo, well they are still in business...
Maintenance on KC is terrible and the ride has seen it's better day. I think that most forget that it was the first to usher in today's coasters specifically designed for inverting standup passengers. Because it was the first, it means alterations were made to the ones built after. KC was essentially a prototype and subsequent standups by Togo ironed out some of KC's bugs.
Alas I don't think KC is long for this world. Every ride has it's expected life. And I feel KC's dissapearance is nearing.... but I predict it will not be this season ;-)
