Why open on May 6

I was wondering why CP is opening on May the 6 and not may the 5.

It could be a major company has bought out the park for the day on May 5th. Didn't Longaberger buy out CP last year on opening weekend?

No, it was like 2 weeks before the park opened. I know somebody who went up for it.

Maybe because SFWoA opens May 5, and with them opening a new coaster, they may want to make them different days to get a bigger crowd.

Some peeps may hit SFWoA May 5, then coast to CP on May 6, makes for a perfect weekend.

Longaberger did buy out Cedar Point May 5. Last year, they bought out the Saturday before opening weekend, and the day after was AAA day (a make good on a buy-out that fizzled, I hear). The interim week had media day and a whole lot of time with Intamin trying to tweak that interval so they could run all trains. They would have had even more time had it not been for the commercial shoots.

Yeah that's true, but what Iam saying is that Longaberger didn't rent CP out on opening weekend. That's what I meant.
