Why no wooden RC's w/ tubular track?

Why didn't Chris Sawyer make a type of coaster that has wooden supports with steel tubular track? He made side friction, Virginia Reel, and wooden reverser coasters, but no wooden coasters with tubular track. I know there are many more of these than side friction, VR, or reversers.

I've always wanted to make an authentic Gemini and Cedar Creek MIne Ride, but can't.
The mine train ride has steel tubular track. Check the info before you build.

I agree, I think that is what a mine train is.

A bad day at Cedar Point is better than a good day at work.
Yes, you nailed it (literally!). The GEMINI is nothing more than a racing mine train built by the unmatched geniuses at ARROW. You just have to ignore the cute little train engine on the front. It is my 3rd fav. coaster at CP. What a unique experience it is to race and slap hands on the turns! Gemini is on coaster that I haven't tried in RCT, but now I will since you mentioned it. Let me know how yours turned out!

As you probably know, figure-eights are hard to do right in RCT, because you almost need track the follows a 30-degree variation. I did a racing pair I was fond of that was inspired by Gemini with great results, but the faithful recreation wasn't all that faithful.

I have a Gemini that is made by using a wooden coaster, but the helices go up instead of down. I might try to make a better one, with the mine track with wooden trains using the trainer.
The helices do go up on Gemini...not down.
