Why no beer sales during SFGAm Frightfest?

This is a question mostly to the members here that work at the park. Why dont they serve beer during Fright Fest? Its kind of ironic since October is known for beer (Octoberfests).

So the drunks don't attack the people wearing costumes.

Actully I don't know.

At least you can normally buy beer at your local Six Flags. SFMM has no beer at all, Summer, October, Spring or any other time. At least there is a mini mart right before the enterance...

Why the hell whould you drink alcohol when riding rollercoasters?? That's the stupidest thing i've ever heard.

Who says that you are drinking *when* riding rollercoaster? (actually, that's a feat I'd like to try someday :)). In case you havent forgotten, there are a TON of other things to do at park other than just ride rollercoasters.

Besides, if you really what to know why try it in five years and get back to me.

I got reasonably intoxicated at Cedar Point closing weekend, staying at Breakers, eating at Bay Harbor Inn. It was my anniversary, time to celebrate. Just because someone drinks doesn't mean they're stupid or alcoholic.

I did ride Magnum a little buzzed, but I don't think I could stand to ride anything else. It's always weird how a depressant seems to make you hyper-sensitive to motion!

Anyway, that's weird about SFGAm. Geauga Lake has had a long standing tradition of bringing in the fair food vendors and beer trucks, and honestly there were more people enjoying the food and brew than there were people riding.

Why no beer at FrightFest?

Because the thought of it is positively SCARY!!!!

"Reality" is the only word in the language which should always be used in quotes.

I have been thrashed all the time at SCBB, since we would have beach parties near there. I guess if you are mildly intoxicated, you'll probably be extra giddy, but if you are actually having problems walking or talking, I'd say not to ride. The ride ops will probably not let you on anyways, you probably won't remember it.

A mildly embarrassing story was when me and my friends left a party to go on some rides, we went on the Haunted Mansion and my friend I was riding with pulled over one of the robot/mannequins! The lights came on, we waited for a while, and then the bored security guards had a field day with us. They sat us in the back of a pickup truck and tried to interrogate us by shining a flashlight in our faces. Luckily we waited so long on the stopped ride that we weren't drunk then, and they only charged my friend $20 (to have someone tip it back up?)

PS. If you want REALLY want to ride a coaster drunk, go to Vegas. There they only won't let you on if you are catatonically drunk. I've seen the train of Speed come back with some nasty suprises more than once. Oh, and don't become an alcoholic. If you ever drink to get drunk all by yourself, you need to seriously rethink the situation before it gets completely out of control.
