Why is C.P. waiting so long to announce the new S&

Why is Cedar Point waiting so long to announce the new ride in Challange Park, I thought by now they would have announced this new ride and tried to set up some type of charity event for the opening of the ride.
If you notice, Magic Mountain hasn't officially announced theirs either. It's something about up-charge rides I guess.

Before they can announce anything, everything has to be aggreed/signed/assured with workers/designers ect. So I'm sure that CP (as well as other parks) has their next ride designed and stuff, but they have to wait to announce it.
It takes awhile to sign workers, papers, and such.

Okay, I really think that the original question is not referring the the next coaster or unknown attraction that will be at Cedar Point, but to the S&S Thrill Shot ride ALREADY UNDER CONSTRUCTION at Challenge Park. If constructon has already begun, you can bet the farm that all the contracts and such have been signed.

I, too, think it might be something with the fact that this is likely to be a pay-per-ride attraction, rather than an addition to the park itself. Not as much publicity for those, because if you try to tempt people with "looky what we're adding to Cedar Point" and they get there and pay their admission and then have to pay more for the new attraction, they probably won't tend to be too happy.

I have never heard of any park announcing an extra pay atttraction like parks anounce a new roller coaster. I doubt we will see any official announcement.
Also, Six Flags Magic Mountain has not announced their's and they have already gone vertical.
