Why don't more people head to SFNE?

the one at sfa and sfdl are exactly alike but sfne superman is original and alot more intense.

the reason most people dont go is probly because it doesnt offer spectacular besides SROS. it has the same normal slc, and boomerang that most parks have already. And I would love to go to the park if it does get something next year that is original but for now its really nothing new to me

well they have the cyclone which is a brilliant wood coaster that has one of the wildest first drops anywhere, I think this ride gives superman a run for its money as the best ride in the park. but thats just me.

Yes sir, i'll spend $2,000 dollars on airplane flights, car rental, and hotel to ride on ride all the way in the East Coast. What is so great about the ride?

By the way, Park World magazine named S:ROS their number 1 coaster, whatever that's worth.

I am going to Sfne July 29th and i can't wait to ride S:ROS,it is only a four hour drive from my home :)

im goin to SFNE to ride SROS at then end of august so ill see if its better than the one at SFDL. SFDL has unbelievable airtime so i hope this one is the same which i think it will be.

Park World Magazine, and I can personally guarantee you, that, if and when Mitch Hawker does his steel tracked roller-coaster poll, it will come out #1 there, too.

I have talked to and heard of, only three people who have ridden SFNE S:RoS and MF, prefer MF
to SFNE S:RoS...and two of them were
''speedsters'' aka enthusiasts who crave speed, and only speed. The other is a fellow who I respect very much, but he hates Six Flags, and refuses to rank it as #1 just out of spite. Regardless- it's his #2, and that's saying alot, coming from this fellow.

But *CP* Genius, come out here, and ride it yourself. For me, much like Holiday World's Legend, there's SFNE's S:RoS, and then there's everything else...

An excerpt from my first SFNE TR:

"..As we crest and begin our descent down the first drop,it just seemes to get steeper,and steeper and,OH MY GOD!! WE'RE GETTING STEEEPER! I rode the lapbar the entire way down the first
drop and as it bottomed out,I was slammed
back into my seat. From there you are *hurtled* into a mist filled tunnel "faster than a speeding
bullet." The second hill,in all reality,is really pretty much a one hundred sixty something foot bunny hop...it's phoenomenal!! The airtime is extreme and you are launched up and over the second
"bunny hop."The train then flies around an over-banked turn with a lot of speed,and begins its return run to the station. There is a quick turn
to the right and that's followed by a jog to the left into a gradual dip. The speed that the train has going into the next camel back is unbelievable,
and it negotiates the huge hill as if it were a bunnyhop! Amazing lap riding airtime,once
again. Another airtime filled camel back leads
us to a left turning pullout over the station and into a 360 degree ground level clockwise helix. The track's direction changes *very* suddenly and
you are viciously launched out of your seat and into a second counter clockwise helix.After the second helix,you drop down and veer to the right,into another mist filled tunnel. AWESOME. I was numb as I was forcefully launched out of my seat two more times as we flew over the final bunnyhops
and made a sharp 90 degree turn into the brake run. I was never so giddy, so happy,so invigorated as I was when I stepped off Superman. And it
wasn't just me either! The general public appeared *blown away* as well. And with good reason,too. S:RoS at SFNE is by leaps and tall bounds, my new number one coaster...."

It's everything MF coulda, shoulda, and woulda been, if it wasn't at a Cedar Fair park. You can pick your own seats, waits are minimal on days other than weekends, it don't have that silly "innovative" lift system that take you up *way* too fast, you never get stapled, it's only has one of those forceless ovebanked turns, and this one is sweet,
and the airtime is all out, brutal ejector that want you OUT OF THE TRAIN!

Get out there, by bird, by train, or by plane. Anyway you can, get out here, forget the
hype and just ride this Intamin *Masterpiece!*

I agree that SFNE's SROS is one of the best coasters in existence, However the park itself can barely handle the amount of people constantly streaming through its gates on a daily basis. I've made three trips to SFNE in the last two weeks. Two were on weekdays; one was on a Sunday. Each trip was a disaster due to the horrendous crowds and the consequent long waits for nearly every ride.I expected to encounter some crowds on a weekend day, but it was nearly as crowded on the weekdays. As an example of the overcrowding, at 10:30 in the morning on a Thursday the line for Shipwreck Falls, a rather lame shoot the Chutes ride, had filled the queue corral and stretched past the entrance. The line for Scream went a block past the entrance and the wait for SROS itself was for two to three hours with two trains running. This park cannot handle the crowds it is already getting; until it expands the last thing it needs are more patrons.

I got a question for you, "Why don't more people come to SFEG?"

SFNE is a great park but not in the same league as the elite Flagger such as SFGA, SFWoA and SFMM. SFNE needs alot more theming throughotu and needs a B&M coaster but thats hopefully coming next year. SFNE will expand and in a few years be a premiere Six Flags

They were running two trains on Sunday, one on the weekdays. I think Cyclone was better before it was butchered and with the Morgn trains

I have mixed feelings about the "new" Cyclone. Its is still my fav. of the park. im going again tomorrow [well today] hopefully its not as bad as you say.

Because besides SROS, there's nothing there.

Well after reading all that lot I would be here forever replying and quoting, so here's my views:

1) Superman:ROS is the best steel coaster on the planet - it has the most airtime on any steel coaster I've ridden. I travelled 6,000 miles to ride that thing, so anyone complaining about a 6 hour drive should think again. Over 100 members of the Rollercoaster Club of Great Britain voted S:ROS as the best coaster out of the 100 they rode on their trip this June, beating MF.

2) SFNE also has the Cyclone which has to be the closet thing to the Crystal Beach Cyclone operating today. Anyone who thinks all SFNE has is S:ROS needs to take a ride in the back seat of this thing and they'll be eating their words.

3) S:ROS at SFNE is a lot better than the one at SFA (and SFDL).

4) Lake Compounce was the worst park I went to out of the 17 I visited on my last trip to the US (even worse than SFWOA). While Boulderdash is fast, smooth, and makes wonderul use of the terrain, it has ZERO airtime and left me disappointed, and apart from the dash, their's NOTHING else worth riding. $25.95 with only 27 rides (counted from the web site), it is a complete rip-off compared to Kennywood and Knoebels. And how dare they charge $5 for the gravel pit car park?

5) Finally, since I'm from the UK, none of these parks are my home park, so I'm not biased in anyway other than from my experience at the parks.
